24.01.2022 Hi all We are having some technical issues at Dave’s got bees The hives are full of honey but the extractor is not working We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and are working towards sorting it all out. ... Thanks for your understanding

22.01.2022 In warm weather bees don’t really like being inside the hive. Like us they get hot. This is a pic of one of my hives tonight.

09.01.2022 I was asked to remove this today I believe this is one of the culprits for the bees at the loading bay of woolies. These bees should move into the hive box I have in the tree if it’s not disturbed. All the comb and brood are in the box already waiting for the rest of the colony. This is the first hive outside a solid tree/foundation I have come across. ... There were multiple queen cells both open and with brood inside. This will become a colony even if the others don’t move in but I think they will.

09.01.2022 Please don’t call pest control to kill bees. I received a call yesterday from an elderly couple A swarm was getting into their house When I got there there wasn’t any sign other than half a dozen bees... It looked like they had gone into the walls of the house between the chimney and wall. Not a good place for swarm removal or anywhere you would want a hive. I won’t take stuff apart to remove bees. It causes too much damage to property. I do have a bee deterrent made with almond essential oil. I sprayed it where I thought the bees were. Left my swarm box close by and tonight removed the swarm with no harm to bees or the residents. This is for swarming bees only. Bees that have made themselves at home and have a thriving hive are a different story. They can be removed without destroying anything most time but a different method is needed and an take a couple of weeks to do without having to destroy anything. A local bee keeper can help most of the time. Please don’t call pest control to kill them. The bottom pic is of the swarm in my yard in a swarm trap. I’ll move them to a full size box in a week or two.

02.01.2022 A question and a concern could the cotton industry have enough power to ask and get approval for this action
