24.01.2022 I’m eternally grateful for my regular, lengthy, and often lubricated conversations with my old friend Brettly. We usually cover everything from Shakespeare to Vonnegut, and of course guitars. He convinced me that electronics are not voodoo, and if I wired this up wrong I wouldn’t take out the grid, or end up with Einstein hair; it just would sound bad, or make no sound at all. So..... A Klein inspired ergonomic body, headless multi scale neck, JBE humbuckers through individual push/pull tone pots for separate coil taps, and a master volume. For someone who has a mistrust of anything that isn’t made of wood it was a heap of fun in the end. See more

16.01.2022 Strings attached, and rope binding on this concert uke in African Mahogany; Waverley tuners with ebony buttons. On its way to Uko Ono, the Ukulele Queen of Australia! Check her website for all things ukoid, online tutorials and more!! Find her at ukoono.com.au or on Facebook.

09.01.2022 A nice pear.... Recent arrivals at the Acoustic Centre, South Melbourne. They’ve travelled the same path from timber to instrument with coaxing, gentle encouragement and a fair share of quiet cussing. And yet very different they are.... A full mahogany parlour, slotted headstock with Waverley tuners; and a Venetian cutaway talisman - Indian Rosewood, Cedar. Sound port and ebony arm bevel. Check out the Acoustic Centre website for more pics and info.
