07.01.2022 For the last couple of weeks I have been preparing for the Seymour Alternative Farm Expo which is held in Seymour for 3 days over this weekend, 20, 21 & 22 of February. It is quite an undertaking and can be quite exhausting for humans and alpacas alike depending on the heat which in the past has been extreme. On Sunday I will give two lectures for the Seymour Ag. Society on Management and Welfare of Alpacas and I have spent some hours preparing for that. This year Rod and I have decided after over ten years being sited in the VCR marquee to set up our own site with friends, Daniel, Bronwyn and Jenny Boote of Avenel Ridge Alpacas - a new venture which I am sure will be successful.

03.01.2022 Just christened my new toy. Equivalent of 6 normal wheelbarrow loads. Our RAT Barrow is going to make things much easier on the farm. :-)
