They are not ... the following taken from the Chief Health Officers order applicable to all QLD residents: Home confinement Direction This direction applies to all residents of Queensland. All people must stay in their homes except for: shopping for essentials - food and necessary supplies; medical or health care needs, including compassionate requirements; exercise with no more than one other person (unless from your household); providing care or assistance to an immediate family member; work and study if you can’t work or learn remotely. The directions are black and white, and pretty soon people are going to start to see how black and white they really are once fines start getting issued. Honestly, if everyone just behaved in a manner that assumed everyone had the virus then the spread of this thing can be stopped so much faster, no grey areas, no what if’s, no but they didn’t specifically say my name so it mustn’t apply to me approach. 13.01.2022 A local heads up and one to share with interstate family and friends , Several of the insurance companies like TAL & MLC have announced support to volunteer firefighters of a 3 month waiver of insurance premiums to people in affected areas "In response to the Australian bushfires, the insurer announced the premium waiver will be available to existing customers who reside in a bushfire-affected area nationwide"... They should contact their adviser in regards to this to see if their company has initiated this yet. Any difficulties encountered in doing this let me know. Every little bit helps !!
