23.01.2022 Another great story about bees in the local paper this week!

20.01.2022 RED HILL WARD COUNCIL ELECTION Hello everyone, Most voters will have filled out their ballot papers and posted them back to the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) already.... However, if you have a problem like missing or damaged forms you can contact the VEC on 1300 122 917 and they may be able to assist you to ensure your vote is counted. Ballot papers must be posted by Friday 23rd October and arrive at the electoral office by the 30th October 12 noon deadline. They are self addressed. Hand delivery is also allowed to the Dromana electoral office until the 23rd of October. There is a drop off box at shop 13, 143 Point Nepean Rd Dromana. Thank you for taking part in this important local election and helping to shape the future of our rural lifestyle in Red Hill Ward.

15.01.2022 Thank you to Red Hill Ward constituents, you have shown a great deal of interest in the Council election. I am most appreciative of your supportive calls, your insightful questions and your concerns about vested interests wanting to run our council. A final reminder that all ballot papers need to be posted by this Friday, 23rd October.... To be a valid vote each box should be numbered between 1 and 5. Thank you for caring about the future of our villages and rural areas in Red Hill Ward.

13.01.2022 A recent spate of car thefts in Red Hill Ward is a great worry. One of the tactics used is to look through windows for keys not hidden from view and brazenly dash into premises and use the keys to steal cars in driveways. Take great care and if urgent immediately ring police on 000.

10.01.2022 Unfortunately declaring us regional is entirely in the hands of the state government and your local member of parliament Chris Brayne. Having members of our community exerting pressure by writing to him may be effective. [email protected] So far we have been ignored by the state government. ... I am fully supportive of the Peninsula becoming regional and have raised the issue many times in order to help our local community and businesses.

02.01.2022 Thank you for the wide support I received for my re-election as the Red Hill Ward Councillor and member of the Mornington Peninsula Shire-wide Councillor team. I highly value this trust in me as one of your local representatives. I will continue to do my best to protect community values and expectations from vested interests and raise awareness about issues that affect our enjoyment in living on the Mornington Peninsula. ... I appreciate the efforts of all candidates who ran fair campaigns and stuck to issues of importance to voters. The Council term over the next four years presents us with many challenges. Councillors need to work cooperatively to resolve issues including local economic recovery. I will vote to stimulate our businesses and to help families through the present crisis. Councillors must act independently of vested interests whether they are political or pressure groups and judge issues on their merits while considering community values. This includes local politicians who must be held accountable and scrutinised to ensure they act in the best interests of our Mornington Peninsula community. Regards, David
