25.01.2022 COVID-19 daily figures for Electorate of Croydon - Monday 24 August.
24.01.2022 18 August - originally known as Long Tan Day is now commemorated as Vietnam Veterans Day. The victory at Long Tan in 1966 was not without its costs. Seventeen were killed, including another who later died of wounds sustained during the battle. This included eleven national servicemen. While our veterans here in Victoria cannot gather in the same way as previous years, we remember and thank them for their service this Vietnam Veterans Day.... Lest we forget.

22.01.2022 People always ask what would the Libs do? This is what we’d do:
21.01.2022 This week in Parliament I made a speech promoting the Pyrenees Region, the Pyrenees Farm Gate Trail and calling on the government to support their marketing efforts. Pyrenees Farm Gate Trail
21.01.2022 Good governance leads to strong accountability, which inevitably results in public trust in the actions of government. The Coate report clearly highlights the absence of both good governance and accountability. Victorians should have little trust in the actions of this government.
21.01.2022 Data from the June quarter was released by NCVER. Since 2016 the no. of Victorians commencing traineeship has declined year on year. Vic no’s the worst in Australia. ... This doesn’t include 2nd wave lockdown no’s. Libs plan - deliver 57,000 traineeships to help skill our youth.
21.01.2022 Sending best wishes to everyone for a very Merry Christmas spent with those you love. Here’s hoping that 2021 will be a year full of hope, happiness and good health.
20.01.2022 Daily COVID-19 figures for Monday 7 September.
20.01.2022 Merry Christmas to everyone in Victorian education - students, teachers, educators and of course parents. This has been an incredibly tough year, but you have coped amazingly well. Have a great break, and celebrate how you have overcome challenges that have never been experienced in our lifetime.

19.01.2022 Today we mark 75 years since Victory in the Pacific Day and the end of the Second World War. We say thank you for your service to this remarkable generation of Australians. Some one million Australians served in the Second World War, the 39,000 who lost their lives, and the 30,000 taken as prisoners of war.... This was a war like no other in history, with Australians fighting in theatres of war across the globe from Europe to North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, to Asia and the Pacific, and conflict coming to the Australian mainland for the first time. Lest We Forget.

16.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads on this special day. Best Wishes for an outstanding day in these challenging times. Stay Safe and Take Care,... David.
16.01.2022 This morning instead of going to school, students state-wide are waking up to remote learning again. School students have only just started the year and it is so important to build good, positive learning habits from the get go. Learning momentum lost only takes more effort to build. I firmly believe that schools should be closed as a last resort and that they should reopen immediately.
16.01.2022 Daily COVID-19 data for Croydon Electorate - Wednesday 26 August.
15.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your comments, feedback and suggestions for additional questions to the Minister. I have drafted and submitted further Questions On Notice to the Minister. I will continue to be a strong advocate for the return of music education & ensemble performance in Victorian schools.... Let’s hope there’s investment in Arts Education in tomorrow’s budget.
15.01.2022 COVID-19 stats update for the Electorate of Croydon - Tuesday 18 August.
15.01.2022 Victorians should be extremely proud of their enormous sacrifices to get us to the point of zero active cases. Well done to all.

13.01.2022 Daniel Andrews advises Victorians that decisions hes made have been based on "expert health advice." But today the Chief Health Officer told Melbourne radio that the 8pm curfew was not based on his health advice. Victorians have a right to know if other restrictions put in place by the Premier were not also based on health advice.

12.01.2022 My office continues to receive many questions daily about what is permissible during Stage 4 lockdown. 11.01.2022 My thoughts on schools being closed as part of this lockdown.
11.01.2022 Today's Coate Inquiry report confirms the absence of both good governance and accountability. The Hotel Quarantine program failed from the start. Nobody will say who chose private security, nobody will say who rejected the ADF, and nobody is accepting responsibility for these failings. If this was a private sector business the directors of the company would be held accountable and the same should apply to the Premier and Ministers.
11.01.2022 Wishing each and everyone a very Happy New Year. Thank you for all your contributions in 2020 and looking forward to working constructively to make 2021 a better year for all.
11.01.2022 A terrific way to start the day with a short walk around Fitzroy Gardens, the MCG, AAMI Park, Melbourne Park and back via the Yarra River, all with marvellous Melbourne on display as the backdrop.
09.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: RULE CHANGE There has been a reversal of the 5km exercise rule; allowing you now to drive within 5km of your home to exercise. As always, for more information, I encourage you to visit the DHHS website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/stage-4-restrictions-covid-19, contact my office on 9725 3570 or via email: [email protected].
09.01.2022 Our HQ program is literally the only way the virus will seed into the community. If infection control information is not passed onto the management of this program, then the program cannot succeed & we will continue to have leeks & lockdowns. The time to fix this was last year.... Victorians are at their wits end with the constant incompetence on display.

08.01.2022 COVID-19 stats update for the Electorate of Croydon for Thursday 13 August
07.01.2022 The easing of restrictions is a testament to the hard work and sacrifice Victorians have made. Faith gatherings should be deemed as important as casino patronage, so it’s concerning that 1,000 people can go to the casino but religious gatherings at large churches, synagogues or mosques are capped at 150 people. The restrictions placed on religious gatherings should be on parity with other sectors so that the rules of fairness and parity apply.
06.01.2022 Green on the outside. Labor on the inside. Overnight the Victorian Greens voted to extend the State of Emergency by 6 months. In July they slammed Daniel Andr...ews for using those powers to lockdown public housing towers in Melbourne. Now they say those same extraordinary powers are fine and that the Premier should have them for another 6 months with minimum scrutiny. Victorians know that the Greens are often hypocrites happy to sell out to Labor when it suits them. This is just another example of their hypocrisy. Ill continue to fight for greater scrutiny of the powers the Andrews Government is giving itself. Victorians need transparency on this and the decisions that will be made with it.

01.01.2022 I have received several enquiries from people, asking about Daniel Andrews announcement to extend the state of emergency by 4 weeks and if this means Daniel Andrews is extending lockdown. To clarify - Stage 4 lockdown is still scheduled to finish on September 13. (At this stage.) I have attached a link to an article that explains the difference between state of emergency and state of disaster.
