01.01.2022 (Reposted, by Danielle Mariu) Yesterday I took possession of a very special piece of artwork. This beautiful painting created by the ever talented David Hooper has been on my wish list for 8 years. ... It was on exhibit in the very first office I ever started working at in Realestate and hung next to where I sat. I remember thinking 8 years ago that when I make it (referencing to my starting realestate career) I am going to buy this... Rewind 8 years ago - I didn’t know anything about David Hooper, nor did I know that 8 years down the track that our paths would cross and that this beautiful piece of art by fate; would still be waiting for me to buy. For many years that I have been lucky enough to know David; I have told him I wanted to buy it. That this art was a symbol of many years of training, commitment, sacrifice, passion and outright hard work in an industry that is notorious for being a dog eat dog industry that will take every inch you give it. For years it wasn’t a financial delay in taking possession; rather an inner fight with myself on when I felt worthy that I had finally made it in my career. As I took possession yesterday I became emotional - I can’t pin point why exactly now is the right time - and I certainly can’t confirm 100% that I have actually made it in my career as I’m always striving and training for bigger and better when it comes to it; however something in my heart told me that 8 years on this was my moment to reflect on how far I have come, the huge journey I have been on and the humbling reminder of where it all started and the dream of one day owning this painting... Thank you David for inspiring me those 8 years to work towards something - even when you had no idea our paths would cross. Keep doing what you do with so much love and passion and know that this beautiful piece of art will be a prized possession in my household for years to come x @daniellemariu
