24.01.2022 For this year’s Sunshine Coast Art Prize, a MINI art car and a BMW motorbike are wrapped in the artworks of selected Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2020 finalists, thanks to Coastline BMW. The art cars pay homage to the iconic BMW Art Car project, a long-running art series introduced in 1975 by French race car driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain. It turns out that the vehicles showcase work by this year’s art prize Winner Natalya Hughes and Runner up Kent Morris. Someone chose well.... 05.01.2022 Dear people of Nambour, As a result of the strong community response I have just heard that two of the fig trees at the Nambour Pool will be saved. The other two that are closest to the pool building will be removed to protect the aquatic centre buildings and equipment from root damage and to provide an increase in parking. I fully support this revised plan and I’m grateful to the council staff who have worked quickly and professionally to find this alternative solution. I’m... looking forward to the $2 million splash park and water slides being installed at the pool for the people of Nambour and surrounds. Thank you all for demonstrating your feelings by tying a ribbon in such a peaceful and respectful way. Together we are stronger. See more
