24.01.2022 Do you know if you qualify for any of the current government grants?
23.01.2022 Construction has started on a new marina in Perths north that will be bigger and more modern than Hillarys. The Ocean Reef Marina will include an ocean pool,... a protected beach, cafes, restaurants, shops, playgrounds, boat pens, stackers and launching ramps and also residential blocks. The first stage is set to be completed by 2023. The project has been on the cards for decades - and has been controversial for its footprint on the local environment - but was last year granted environmental approval. To prepare for construction, about 100,000 adult abalone have been moved from the area to other reefs. What do you think about the plans? Will you visit the marina when it is open? Are you concerned about the environmental impacts?
22.01.2022 The building and construction industry employs thousands of Western Australians. The $20,000 WA Building Bonus has played a crucial role in supporting the indus...try and WA’s economic recovery from COVID-19. It has been a key component of our $5.5 billion jobs and recovery plan, to keep our State safe and strong. Due to its overwhelming success, today we are extending the construction period so more homebuilders have more time to commence works and be eligible for the grant. The grants are available to any homebuyer who signs a contract with a builder by December 31, 2020 to build a new house or purchase a new property in a single-tier development (such as a townhouse) prior to completion of construction. Under the original arrangements, site excavation works to build a new home must start within six months of contracts being signed. Given the high demand and to help extend the pipeline of work, homebuilders will now have 12 months to commence site excavation works. This will give more Western Australians the opportunity to access the grant and it will support this important WA industry for longer. Helping create an even longer pipeline of construction work in WA, providing certainty to the whole industry.

20.01.2022 Big news for Perth's south-east this morning with key details locked in for the Byford Rail Extension. The project is now progressing to its important next stag...e, with design work underway and initial works set to commence in November at Thomas Road. The METRONET street-level Byford Station will be built next to the emerging Byford Town Centre, within the existing rail corridor, about 8km south of Armadale Station. The new station will have up to 600 parking bays, a bus interchange and pedestrian crossing over the railway line. Armadale Station will also be expanded with longer platforms for six-car trains, a new Australind platform and an extended pedestrian overpass. The bus interchange will be redeveloped into a modern facility with better access to the station. To help facilitate the rail line, the Thomas Road level crossing will be replaced with a road-over-rail bridge with works to commence in late-2020, supporting more than 330 jobs. This key component of the rail extension has been added to the scope of the Armadale Road to North Lake Road Bridge project, allowing the works to start now in order to save time and money. The concept design phase for the Byford Rail Extension Project is now underway, and the project will now be submitted to Infrastructure Australia for consideration. The main construction contract is expected to be awarded in mid-2021.

14.01.2022 As we move into the recovery phase of COVID-19, were doing everything we can to stimulate WAs economy. That means implementing our $5.5 billion WA Recovery Pl...an to help get shovels in the ground on major projects and get West Aussies back to work. Today, were announcing the fast tracking of 11 major road projects, with many starting in the next six months. Were also investing a further $100 million in new major roads projects across WA to create a pipeline of jobs and opportunities for our local businesses. Bolstering our major road and rail program is about building infrastructure to benefit the Western Australian community and many generations to come. 02.01.2022 THE CHOICE OF A WORLD CHAMPION... I had the pleasure of meeting 3 x FIM World Speedway Champion Tai Woffinden, his wife Faye and little Rylee whilst they were in Perth recently on vacation. They were looking to build a home away from home to stay in whilst theyre in Perth each year. For those who havent heard of Tai, this guy is Motorsport royalty! Hes won almost everything there is to win in the world of Speedway. To become as successful as he has become, you really need... to have a huge amount of drive, commitment and painstaking attention to detail. This being said, Tai has the same attention to detail in all aspects of his life, especially when it comes to building his family home! And thats where I come into it... I was introduced to Tai, Faye and Rylee by one of my sales reps, Mike, a few months ago and we went on the journey of designing and now building the Woffinden family residence in the picturesque northern beaches of Perth. Whilst they are in Europe, we will be building this amazing home with the same attention to detail that Tai is renowned for so the newly expanded Woffinden family move in seamlessly when they arrive back in Perth this October. I cant wait to see how their vision comes to life, and what all of the pieces of the puzzle look like once they all come together. Thank you Tai, Faye, Rylee and their expected new bubba for trusting me with building your home away from home. Catch you in October for the housewarming! #taiwoffinden #davidnylanderperth #speedway #westernaustralianspeedway #speedwayaustralia @ Perth, Western Australia
01.01.2022 A TREE CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A HOLIDAY... How cool is it to be able to help your parents out..?! I dont think Ive ever seen my Dad so excited! (Until we b...ought a new racecar a few months later that is... ) My folks (Alan and Heather) have had their tree lined, dream block up on the hill in Bullsbrook for around 10 years now, complete with a full race shop of course! But they have only recently decided to up stumps, move bush and live the simple life. So we sat down and worked through what they loved about their current (Dale Alcock) home and what they wanted to improve... What we came up with was simple, but something pretty special I reckon! So heres what we ended up with; a farmhouse style home with master suite on one side, a MASSIVE central living area/ kitchen, and 2 guest bedrooms nestled in their own little private wing on the other side. The full height windows at both ends of the central living maximize on the northern aspect, as well as making the most of the picturesque view of the trees down the hill. And, theyve now got to make more friends to fill the HUGE outdoor entertaining area as well... Their home is almost fully self contained running in rainwater, gas tanks and solar power so ticks all the boxes as far as bush living goes! Theyre now all moved in and living the dream every day. Feeding the 28 parrots and magpies every morning and watching the kangaroos hop down the block every night... I reckon theyve definitely got the work (retirement), life balance all sorted... This is the reason I do this job, you truly can change peoples lives, sometimes closer to home than you initially thought... #davidnylanderperth #newhomesperth #bullsbrook #houseandlandperth #bushliving #farmhouse @ Bullsbrook, Western Australia, Australia
01.01.2022 Well I never...!
01.01.2022 Beginning at 6pm tonight, the whole Perth metropolitan area, the Peel region and the South West region will be going into a full lockdown. This lockdown will ru...n until 6pm on Friday. A five-day lockdown. It’s crucial we act quickly, to keep the community safe. We cannot forget how quickly this virus can spread, nor the devastation it can cause. Following our discussions with the Chief Health Officer and Police Commissioner, the following measures will be put in place from 6pm for people in Perth, Peel and the South West: People in these regions are required to stay home, except for the following four reasons: - Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies. - Medical or health care needs including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable. - Exercise, within their neighbourhood, but only with one other person and only for one hour per day. - Work, where you cannot work from home or remotely. In addition to this Stay Home rule. If you do leave home, for one of the four reasons you will be required to wear a mask at all times outside and if you need to work indoors, then wearing a mask in the workplace is also mandatory. To be clear, mask wearing on public transport is also mandatory. People in the Perth, Peel or South West region need to stay inside their region for the next five days, unless for an essential reason. We are strongly encouraging that everyone in this area, who is from another WA region, stay here and do not travel further outside of this area until the lockdown is over. If you do need to travel outside the region you are in now, that can only occur if you need to return to your place of residence or exceptional circumstances. The transport of essential goods into this region, is permitted, under our existing transport guidelines. This lockdown means the following businesses, venues and locations in the relevant regions need to close for the next five days: - Pubs, bars and clubs - Gyms and indoor sporting venues - Playgrounds, skate parks and outdoor recreational facilities - Cinemas, entertainment venues, and casinos - Beauty therapy services, parlour or salon including hairdressers, barbershop, nail salon, tattoo parlour, spa or massage parlour - Large religious gatherings and places of worship - Libraries and cultural institutions Restaurants and cafes will close, and provide takeaway service only. 10 people can attend funerals, weddings are cancelled for the next five days. No visitors are permitted to your home, unless caring for someone vulnerable or an emergency. No visitors will be allowed in aged care homes, unless exceptional circumstances. No visitors to hospitals and/or disability facilities, unless exceptional circumstances. Elective surgery and procedures for categories 2 and 3 will be suspended from Tuesday, 2 February. Category 1 and urgent category 2 surgery will continue. For a majority of schools in these regions, school was due to start tomorrow. That has now been put on hold and schools will be closed until next week following the lockdown measures. It is, in effect, an extension of the school holidays. All these measures will be reviewed regularly and the Chief Health Officer will continue to monitor the serious situation and provide more ongoing advice. This is an extremely fast-moving situation. I know for many Western Australians this is going to come as a shock. Western Australians have done so well for so long but this week it is absolutely crucial that we stay home, maintain physical distancing and personal hygiene and get tested if you have symptoms. This is a very serious situation and each and every one of us has to do everything we personally can to help stop the spread in the community. We have acted decisively and swiftly given these circumstances. I want to thank everyone in advance for their patience.
