25.01.2022 Let me ask you this question... what do you think is the biggest threat to the future of organisational trust?
23.01.2022 The WHY: It was very busy at my local IGA yesterday with all the checkouts at least 3 deep and the ‘express’ checkout about 12 deep. I had a basket full of groceries and was now next in line, when I noticed the person who was lined up behind me only had a loaf of bread to pay for. It was a no-brainer for me to simply say Why don’t you go ahead of me, you’ve only got the bread.
23.01.2022 I can’t believe the number of people who I’ve been chatting with recently, both professionally and personally, who are saying they can’t believe how fast this year is flying by already. Seriously what did happen to January? One of the three lenses of trust I speak about during my conference presentations is the confidence and control required for Self-trust.
21.01.2022 Your credibility is the perception that others form about the level of trust they can place in you to deliver on your promises in a specific area. Your trustworthiness is the perception of others on your combined character, competence, reliability and values alignment.
17.01.2022 The Royal Commission into Banking and Finance, another announced for the Aged Care Sector and this week, and a call for another Royal Commission into the Supermarket and Petrol Station sectors, continue to send loud and clear messages about the level of distrust we have in some major institutions and industry sectors.

13.01.2022 Why is TRUST suddenly such a hot topic in business? The reality is, the topic of trust, which includes trustworthiness and distrust, has always been a hot topic. It’s just one that’s been bubbling under the surface and over time, boiled over to the point where action is required to either earn, build, maintain or regain trust.
12.01.2022 In the light of what seems to be a continuous and global stream of corporate breaches of customer trust, without naming the obvious, marketing and public relations divisions within major corporations are working frantically on ways to rebuild trust. But they might be missing the most important element.
12.01.2022 The results of a meta-study of the impact of random acts of kindness found a ‘small to medium’ positive impact on well-being. In this fast-paced, disruptive, high stress world many of us find ourselves in, surely any boost in our well-being and sense of life satisfaction is good.
11.01.2022 Article 4 of 7: Reason Four - Builds Positivity This is the fourth article in a series of seven reasons why science validates you ought to focus on Applied Positive Intentions because they can help you live an even more meaningful, flourishing and prosperous professional and personal life. In this article we focus on how applied positive intentions build positivity.
10.01.2022 My last update here was back in February and then Covid-19 hit the world. Since then Lizzie and I have invested in high-end video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment and live-streaming technology to re-designing our home office into a video recording and live-streaming studio. Here's the result ... https://youtu.be/Z5Ebdcm79qY
09.01.2022 How are you? It’s a question here in Australia we ask and are asked often. In fact, we’re asked it so regularly that our responses are often simply an automatic response. How are you? Not bad how are you? Pretty good can’t complain

04.01.2022 In a 60 Minutes interview with Peter Overton, Tom Cruise famously said to Overton "Put your manners back in". At yesterdays’ Royal Commission, CBA chief Matt Comyn reflected on how he was (allegedly) advised by his predecessor Ian Narev, on the practice of selling certain insurance policies to people ineligible to make a claim to "temper your sense of justice".
03.01.2022 The WHY: You are probably more creative than you think you are. The reality is you have an enormous capacity to create. You create with your thoughts, your words, your actions and your results. You create through your collaborative work with the various relationships you have in your professional and personal life.
03.01.2022 One of the real negatives emerging from the fallout of corporate breaches of stakeholder trust is an increase in micro-management. In the disruptive world leaders now find themselves, compliance, process and procedure become the mainstay strategic and operational reality. Micro-management is the biggest threat to rebuilding customer and stakeholder trust.
02.01.2022 Let's talk about the real cost of distrust we are experiencing in corporate Australia today. The AMP announcement yesterday of a 97 per cent fall in annual profits from the previous year, sends a loud and clear message to corporate Australia’s leadership: Breaching customer trust costs and costs big time. There’s more at stake here however than the whopping 97 percent loss in profits.
02.01.2022 Today’s my first day back in the office (officially at least) and I have been reflecting on my 2018 and projecting on my 2019. It’s good to know that Bill Gates is doing the same. Here’s a small extract from a LinkedIn article from Gates that highlights how age and wisdom help to make what’s important about life so much clearer.
02.01.2022 The topic of TRUST has gained significant priority for many corporate conference agendas, which is why 2018 has been such a busy year, and 2019 looks like being even more so. I invite you to take a look at my just-released new conference speaking 'showreel' outlining why TRUST is so important in our professional and personal lives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0W6w_stVmI
