03.01.2022 Let me tell you a story about Bonni the rabbit..... a 12 week old miniature lop.... It was Thursday 9th August, SD phoned me and left a message, "My rabbit was attacked by our cat yesterday afternoon, can you come out to check her?" I replied, and with some misgivings [cats & rabbits can result in damage very quickly] I visited. It was barely sixteen hours after the 10 second attack.... Rabbits have, in recent years, become increasingly popular as pets, and people are bonding... with these pets every bit as much as dogs and cats. So I treat every pet as an individual, I offer treatment, inform owners of their options, give a real estimate of the likelihood of success versus risk, provide them with estimates of fees, offer options, offer referral where appropriate, manage their expectations, keep them updated..... I hadnt counted on a number of things: 1 her injuries at the outset were severe but manageable 2 S, D, D & D were beautiful people; they were to become dear friends 3 Bonni, although [or because of it: she was so helpless] young, engendered a desire to care for her 4 Bonni was tough beyond belief So began my relationships in the care for Bonni....
