25.01.2022 We know how valuable time is, and through our record spend on infrastructure we’re getting South Australians from A B much quicker. These artist impressions show bike lanes, walking paths and pedestrian crossings that we’re building between Pym Street and Regency Road. This 1.8km section is part of the North-South Corridor project that will provide a 47km non-stop motorway between Gawler and the River Torrens.
24.01.2022 We want to keep South Australians in jobs, and keep businesses open. Should coronavirus re-emerge in our community, we need to have measures in place that minimise the spread of community transmission. COVID Marshals will be required at certain premises from Friday 21 August and will need to undertake a short training course online. ... 23.01.2022 Real time fuel pricing is coming to SA! This means motorists will be able to find the the cheapest fuel at any given time via third party apps We're pleased to be delivering yet another cost-saving measure, putting more money back into the pockets of hardworking South Australians.
23.01.2022 Today marks six months since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in South Australia. It’s been a time of ups and downs, with many people affected in different ways. But above all, we have seen the true spirit of South Australians shine through.... We don’t need to look far to see how quickly this disease can spread and how dangerous it can be. Let’s use this as a reminder to keep up testing, social distancing and hand hygiene.
20.01.2022 We know how quickly COVID-19 can spread, and that's why we are taking swift action to stay ahead of the curve. From midnight tomorrow, new restrictions on residential private gatherings and the service of food and drink will come into effect. Residential gatherings will be limited to 10 people, and the service of food and alcohol in cafes, restaurants and licensed venues must be seated. ... We are acting on expert advice to keep the people of South Australia safe.
20.01.2022 We’re making the process of getting a test as convenient, quick and safe as possible. If you have cold and flu symptoms, there’s plenty of ways to get tested - including our biggest drive-through facility that opened at Victoria Park this week. Testing is one of the best ways that SA can stay ahead of the curve.
18.01.2022 Adelaide’s Riverbank Precinct is undertaking a transformation. SkyCity Adelaide's new world-class hotel is nearing completion and will be a major drawcard once international and interstate travel resumes. Around 1,000 local jobs have been created during construction, with a further 700 ongoing jobs needed when the precinct opens. ... We know how important it is to keep building SA, and projects like this inject confidence in our economy. See more
18.01.2022 A sincere thanks to all our our healthcare workers who are stepping up to help Victoria in its battle against COVID-19. We are all in this together. If our Victorian neighbours can slow the spread it benefits us.... Today, the first contingent of nurses will fly to Victoria to help combat the outbreak of COVID-19 in aged-care facilities. By containing and suppressing the virus which has broken out in Victoria, we are protecting the safety, and livelihoods, of South Australians.
17.01.2022 Due to the improving situations across the border we are reinstating a 40km travel buffer for border communities from Friday, assuming the situation doesn't worsen between now and then. Private gatherings will go back to a 50 person limit. Transiting via Sydney and Canberra airports will no longer require 14 days of self quarantine, if you've traveled from a state where border restrictions are not in place.... The border restrictions with NSW and the ACT are being closely monitored and we hope to make further announcements on this soon.
15.01.2022 You no longer need a GP referral or booking to access our COVID-19 drive-through clinics. If you are attending, please be patient with our fantastic staff who are working hard to organise logistics and collect samples at our various testing locations. Be prepared for delays by bringing water and snacks with you.... These services are free and convenient. All ages welcome. For cars and motorbikes only (no walk-ins or cyclists). 15.01.2022 What an outstanding job SA We have seen a record number of people getting tested over the past two days. Yesterday alone almost 12,000 tests were taken and processed by public and private labs.... A huge shout out to the frontline workers - you're doing an amazing job. THIS is one of the main reasons why we are going to get through this. Keep up the great work.
13.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.
12.01.2022 To every South Australian who came out and got tested, thank you. Testing rates like this are exactly what’s needed when you’re faced with a COVID-19 cluster. By working together we can keep SA safe and strong.
11.01.2022 South Australia Police have released more information on the Stay At Home Direction which is in place until 12:01am on Wednesday 25 November 2020. Thank you for your patience and your cooperation - more information can be found https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/response
11.01.2022 LIVE: Steven Marshall with a local COVID-19 update
09.01.2022 It's hard to imagine what it would be like, seeing roaring flames tear through a property you've devoted your working life to. Heidi Sowerby and her family exp...erienced the devastation of last summer's bushfires and are slowly rebuilding their farm. The government has not lost sight of people like Heidi and our bushfire-affected communities - infact we are stepping-up our support to them. Almost $5 million in extra funding has been made available to ensure these communities can bounce back as quickly as possible.
07.01.2022 I want to give you an update on the swift and decisive action we're taking to further strengthen our medi-hotel system. Based on expert health advice, we will implement eight specific actions, including transferring all positive COVID-19 cases from medi-hotels to a dedicated health facility. We will also ensure that the security of this facility is exclusively provided by SA Police and SA Protective Security Officers.... I want to point out that while the recent independent review by Ms Jane Halton AO PSM gave South Australia's medi-hotel system a gold star, there is never zero risk of transmission with this virus. It's a nasty, silent enemy. And as every day, week and month passes, we're learning more and more about it. That's why we will not miss any opportunity to review our systems in real time and act. And these eight actions are an example of just that. I also want to highlight the wonderful work our front line staff have been doing right across the state. Your hard work and dedication is critical in keeping SA safe and strong. Thank you.
