21.01.2022 ATOs Cents per Kilometer rate increase I cant remember when this rate was last reviewed its certainly been a long time! from 1.7.18 the work-related vehicle expenses rate went up to 68c/km. Please note to adjust your payroll where applicable and note that if you are paying staff a car allowance greater than 68c/km, you will need to withhold the tax on the excess.

13.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: We just wanted to update you on the steps we are taking at David Unwin CPA Pty Ltd to deal with the effects of Coronavirus. Our main priority at this time is the health and safety of our staff and you our valued clients.... We will continue to service all clients on a "business as usual" basis. We will continue to meet with our clients, preferably using alternative communication modes such as phone and email. Face to Face meetings in our office are also possible at this time, but we are aiming to limit this. Our office is currently open and trading will continue as normal. In the event that movement is restricted, all of our staff have the ability to work from home and will be available to continue to assist you with your accounting and taxation requirements throughout this event. 11.01.2022 QBCC Licence holders - Are you aware of the changes that came into effect on 1 January 2019. We can assist you to comply with the new requirements: The main thrust is that all licencees will now provide financial information as part of their annual renewal. The financial information is a Profit & Loss summary, A Balance Sheet and a cashflow statement.... The important point being the information you provide must comply with the required amount of net assets for the size of your licence and you must have a current ratio of at least 1:1 This will happen online via the myqbcc website. You can invite us as your accountant to access their renewal and enter the financial details on your behalf, which we think is a good idea to assist you to comply. All QBCC license holders must do this by 31 December 2019. Please get in touch so we can assist you as you navigate through these changes.
