25.01.2022 WARNING TICK SEASON IS APPROACHING - Far South East Gippsland is renowned for the paralysis tick, unfortunately the Wallagaraugh River Retreat is no exception.... So when you bring yourselves and your dogs be vigilant, daily checks are so important. The tick will attach itself in hard to reach places, behind ears, under chins, tops of heads. Lynette and I are very capable of removing these critters from you and or your pet, with a minimum of pain. Its simple, you might get a tick from being vigilant. It is best to stay out of the long grass and the surrounding scrub. 15.01.2022 WOW - Old fashioned service, old fashioned preparation, locally grown meat can't be beaten. Call in and meet Terry the third generation Gulgong butcher and his mum, they really have some great yarns and local stories to tell. The meat is just superb, we had some of his home made sausages and his hand selected and personally "Chopped" scotch filet, goodness me we never knew the meat could taste so good. No wonder the locals in this area live to ripe old ages in the 90's - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
