25.01.2022 In a closely fought final, Clay Mair, Butch Michelsen & Luke Rash won the Championship in a tie breaker end in what was a great game against Chris Barling, Dick Nowland and Sean Love. The lead changed between the two teams many times and there were never more than a couple of shots between them during the greater part of the game. Locked at 25 all after 25 ends, Sean won the toss and elected to give the mat to Luke’s side. Luke’s team were holding several shots when the skippers went to the mat for the last time. Sean drew shot with his first bowl which Luke promptly dismissed with a perfectly executed on shot. Sean was unable to draw the shot a second time allowing Luke to win 26-25.

17.01.2022 Tomorrow, Sunday 27 September, will see the final of the Daistown RSL Bowling Club Men’s Triples Championship with Chris Barling, Dick Nowland and Sean Love taking on Clay Mair, Butch Michelson and Luke Rash. Make your way to Davistown RSL Club for the start scheduled at 12:30 for what promises to be a great final.

16.01.2022 There semis for the club triple championship are off today, and will be played next Saturday hopefully the weather will be better then.

12.01.2022 .With daylight saving commencing NEXT WEEK we have reviewed the new starting time for Ladies THURSDAY bowls commencing 8th October 2020. Tuesday will continue at 1pm Arrive at the Club at 9.45am. The Club doors will be opened at 10.00am... Because some of the restrictions are still in place, we are not able to man the club door as before. Start time for bowls is 10.30am. Each Thursday you will be asked to put your name on a list for the following Thursday and tick a box if you wish to order a sandwich. This is to help the club with ordering of the bread. Sandwiches can be ordered and paid for from the restaurant (as before) and collected when you come in from bowls. Salad bowls can still be ordered. Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday 9.45am

12.01.2022 Deb Lewin has won the Davistown RSL Women’s Bowling Club Minor Singles Championship, taking the Championship over Sue Owens in a match played in great spirits.

09.01.2022 The quarter finals of the Club Triples Championship were played on Saturday, with strong performances by all four teams moving through to the semi finals. The semi finals will be played Saturday 26 September.

03.01.2022 Three competitions have been posted on the notice board; Men's Graded Pairs Entries close 20 Nov for play on 28 Nov... Mixed Fours Entries close 14 Oct for round one to commence 17 Oct Mixed Pairs Entries close 21 Oct for round one to commence 31 Oct Single entries are accepted for the mixed competitions, so even if you can't get a team together, get your name down!

03.01.2022 Muddies are back and resuming for the Summer months Wednesday 7th October. It would be good if participants present at the bowls office or ring the bowls office by 4.45pm for a 5.00pm start. Let's hope we get some good Twilight weather.

03.01.2022 Well done to all the Davistown RSL bowlers who took part in sectional play of the Zone Pairs Championships over the weekend. The team of Luke Rash and Sean Love have progressed to the semi final of the Open section, and Phil Metcalfe and Wade Dickens are through to the sectional finals in the President Reserves. Good luck to both teams in your finals.
