20.01.2022 Although we are not part of Playgroups NSW, we will follow their recommendations to close all community playgroups due to COVID-19 and to minimise the potential spread within communities. So unfortunately there will be no playgroup until further notice. Below is the statement from Playgroups NSW. 'Playgroup NSW continues to remain responsive as the situation surrounding COVID-19 develops, and we are closely monitoring the Commonwealth and State Governments’ announcements and... health advice relating to the virus. The health and well-being of the communities we serve is our primary focus during this period of uncertainty, and we are actively developing contingency plans to minimise any potential spread of the virus whilst keeping Playgroup NSW as operational as possible. As such, we have decided to suspend all of our Supported Playgroups and we recommend the same for all Community Playgroups, effective from Tuesday 17 March 2020 until further notice. During this time we will continue to monitor new information and respond accordingly. We are also working on a contingency plan for all Playgroup NSW employees which will include how we support all of our playgroups. We are aiming to return to business as usual as soon as we can, but in the meantime we thank you for your continued support of our commitment to keeping everyone healthy. 16.01.2022 Hi everyone, unfortunately we won't be ready to reopen tomorrow, hopefully next week! There is a bit of behind the scenes admin to organise and there's a few guidelines due to covid 19, that I have to make sure are in place. 13.01.2022 Sorry I haven't posted on here lately, but things are still the same! We are following Playgroup NSW closely for updates and this is their latest. Hopefully things will be back up and open for playgroups soon! An update from Playgroup NSW: ‘Dear Playgroup NSW community,... With the NSW Government restrictions having changed on 1 June 2020, we would like to provide an update on Playgroup NSW’s progress related to returning to face to face Playgroup. While the restrictions have been relaxed, these do not apply to playgroups just yet. We acknowledge there have been a number of questions about returning face to face and we share your excitement to get back to playgroup. Our key priority is ensuring that all of our children and families can return as safely as possible and that we have a plan to address hygiene requirements and venue considerations. We are working rapidly on a Return to Playgroup plan that caters to supported playgroups and community playgroups, and look forward to sharing more on this with you shortly. In the meantime, our digital delivery of playgroups is going well, and we encourage you to reach out if you have not yet had access to participate in a digital playgroup. 07.01.2022 Hi guys, until we are affiliated with NSW playgroup, which hopefully will be soon as the paperwork is in we can't go ahead at the hall as we don't have the public liability insurance. Instead we can meet at davistown pirate park at 9.30am and then in future meet at the hall look forward to seeing you tomorrow

05.01.2022 Hi everyone! Sorry but playgroup is cancelled tomorrow as my son is a little under the weather! A couple of the other people that would help open up are also sick too! So we made the decision to cancel this week but we will be back up and running next week. Thanks for your understanding

03.01.2022 Hi everyone! I am just in the process of signing up the playgroup to affiliate with Playgroup NSW. To do so I need two lovely volunteers that could help with the sign up! So they have two extra contacts other than me, I would need you nsw playgroup membership number and contact details. Any help would be fab! :)
