23.01.2022 It is with a great deal of regret that the Organising Committee has reached a decision to cancel the 2020 Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival. The Committee has been monitoring the current situation regarding the outbreaks of COVID-19 in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, the changing public health measures and the high likelihood that the virus will still be in the general community in November. Our particular structure on the Davistown Waterfront me...ans that we cannot control crowd numbers and cannot adequately police appropriate social distancing. This, coupled with our concerns for the local community and the likely influx of visitors, has meant that we had no other option. This was a tough decision to reach especially coming on the heels of an extremely successful 2019 event. We all look forward to being able to run bigger and better events in 2021. The cancellation also applies to the Putt Putt Charity Dinner and the Kids with Cancer Heritage Ferry Challenge. The Committee would like to thank our major sponsors Central Coast Council, Mitre10 Kincumber, Central Coast Motor Group, Davistown RSL, Edge Real Estate Saratoga, Central Coast Floormaster, Bendigo Bank for once again supporting us and we hope to see you back for the 2021 event.
23.01.2022 Heading south aboard mighty 2nd place winner Macleay on a beautiful Sydney morning. Looking forward to Heritage Ferry Challenge and Davistown Regatta 2020 .
19.01.2022 What a Weekend!! What a Regatta!! The boats have gone and the Davistown Reserve is back to its pristine condition. The committee’s intention to make this weekend a Davistown Regatta weekend was well and truly on display over the weekend just past. The Putt Putt Charity Dinner on Friday to kick off the weekend was once again a great evening of dining, dancing, raffles and silent auctions. The local community was again incredibly generous in donating gifts and prizes for the ev...ening.Our main sponsors for the evening (Davo RSL, Edge Real Estate, Davistown Progress Association and AC Fitness) also helped us to make it a hugely successful evening. Peter and Victoria Bodman from the Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia were with us and Peter described just how important the charity is and how much our contributions help. Saturday saw the inaugural Kids with Cancer Heritage Ferry Challenge. With great sponsorship from Central Coast Ferries and the Putt Putt Regatta, 8 boats from both the Sydney Heritage Fleet and a number of private owners along with about 20 Putt Putt’s provided a great spectacle on Brisbane Water. The winner of the challenge was AWB435 with Macleay and Leura providing a close race for 2nd and 3rd while Codock II took out the best dressed prize. The ferry skippers also generously donated all ticket sales from paying passengers to Kids with Cancer. Sunday saw the Regatta and what a day it was. About 60 Putt Putts and Wooden Boats provided a great spectacle on the waterfront on a day where the weather gods were indeed very good to us. Approximately 15,000 people spent the day attending 70+ specialty vendors, the premium food tent was extremely popular as was the traditional Putt Putt Challenge, Ferry Sail past and the Grand Parade. I cant thank our primary sponsors (Central Coast Council, Central Coast Marina, Kincumber Sand & Soil,Edge Real Estate, Davo RSL, StarFM, Bendigo Bank, Central Coast Floor Master, Mitre 10 Kincumber, Central Coast Motor Group, Andersons Boatshed) and our fantastic Organising Committee enough for their support and dedication. The numbers are still being tabulated but it appears that the weekend has raised in excess of $12,000 for the Kids with Cancer Foundation - a result that everyone can be very proud of. The organizers are now looking forward to a break before thinking about next years events as these will be hard to beat. See more
19.01.2022 ****2020 DAVISTOWN REGATTA UPDATE**** The Davistown Putt Putt Regatta and Wooden Boat Festival Committee met last week to discuss possibilities for this years events. While nothing can be set in concrete due to the unknowns surrounding COVID-19, there is a possible light at the end of the tunnel. The committee are planning for a number of possibilities including: - Charity Dinner for Fri 6th Nov... - Heritage Ferry Challenge & Putt About for Sat 7th Nov - Full Regatta & Festival for Sun 8th Nov Our ability to run these events will be dependant on both fundraising and government regulations relating to large gatherings. We remain hopeful of replicating the success of the 2019 event. Watch this space............ See more

08.01.2022 Hi everyone. With great enthusiasm a date claimer event was put out this morning for our 2020 Regatta. This was slightly premature as we are still waiting for sign off on the date from one of our stakeholders. We will re-post the event as soon as the date is finalised (likely in the next week or so). Stay tuned .

03.01.2022 A Regatta Substitute But for this strange COVID-19 affected year, yesterday would have been the day of the Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival which we unfortunately had to cancel earlier in the year. Rather than let the day pass by completed unmarked, a number of enthusiasts elected to gather at Davistown in a variety of Putt Putts (old and new) and cruise to Waterfall Bay and back. The weather was reasonably kind to us and a number gathered back at the Davistown Waterfront for a drink or two and to exchange stories. There were about 15 boats involved and a good day was had by all. Everyone is looking forward to the 2021 Regatta.
