22.01.2022 She is spot on, good on you Jacqui !

22.01.2022 Davmax Industries is currently on-site at Sikorsky Australia based at the Australian Naval base HMAS Albatross, repairing vital machinery used to keep our Navy defence helicopters in top condition. (sorry no pictures allowed).

21.01.2022 Cylinders installed and an inspection completed on this line, also a broken drive key replaced on a Wallbank press. Then a Friday afternoon breakdown on a Cincinnati 600 ton press that needed a clutch and brake adjustment.

20.01.2022 Another satisfied customer using Davmax Industries has had his guillotine repaired, blades sharpened installed and reset. Unfortunately they chose to use someone else prior to calling us and not knowing how to set the blades correctly causing them to clash and became dull at the first pass. Cheaper is not always cheaper.

19.01.2022 Today Davmax Industries is on site at The Royal Australian Air Force base at Richmond, removing machinery from one of the hangars and placing it in storage. The Hangar is undergoing major renovations and installing state of the art technology. Due to the sensitivity of the equipment involved and national security we are not allowed to publish photos from within the base. But here are a couple from outside at the gate house. (With approval).

18.01.2022 Today Davmax Industries removed a leaking double ended hydraulic cylinder from this 600 ton press at Singleton. Shipping to Sydney for us to do a complete rebuild before returning next week for installation.

17.01.2022 Guillotine today getting blades re-installed after the blades were removed for sharpening and a new shim plate made.

15.01.2022 Seal damage often occurs during poor installation, this short video shows how to install small yet difficult rod seals. The specially designed tool turns the seal into an omega shape allowing for easy installation into the seal groove. Video courtesy of Max during today’s cylinder rebuilds.

14.01.2022 This is typical press used in the Automotive industry, this one was from the Ford motor company Michigan around 1927. Presses like this are still used today by some Australian metal stamping companies. With the correct service and maintenance these machines will outlast some of the newer types.

11.01.2022 Hydraulic cylinders stripped and rebuilt this morning also a booster cylinder stripped with new seals on order (sorry Sam seals being made) The Hydraulic cylinders are being swapped out tomorrow during a mini shutdown. All parts used were manufactured in Australia.

10.01.2022 A broken neck ring on this 100 ton press was discovered during afternoon shift yesterday. Davmax carries a variety of spares in stock for such occasions. The part was replaced and the correct clearance set in the ball keep and pad. The press line was back in production around lunch time.

05.01.2022 A collapsed seal stopped production on this press line, the gear box was removed stripped and had all seals replaced, bearings cleaned out and identified for future replacement during the next planned shutdown. The press line was back into full production within a few hours of the breakdown. Quick observation from the operator saved this machine line from a major gearbox failure.

03.01.2022 Last week Davmax was on site at Flame Cut Wetherill Park for some preventative maintenance on one their many profile cutters. No major issues were found only a booster cylinder change over. The machine was quickly put back into production with minimal yet essential down time. Earlier in the week Davmax Industries was back in the NSW heartland of the coal industry at Newcastle for servicing and repairs to some vital production machinery. These checks are vital to minimise breakdowns and keep the machines in peak condition
