We want to start by saying thank you 1.5 million times to our donors for ...the 1.5 million donations you made over the last 12 months. 18.01.2022 Not bad DBDs, not bad! @lifebloodau are continuing to see a phenomenal response from their donors in these unprecedented circumstances and the Chatswood Donor Centre is almost fully booked next week. However, they still need to fill 100+ whole blood and plasma appointments in the week commencing Monday 27th July, so please shout out if you can help!

17.01.2022 So weve just received some great feedback about our donation of a #barrelofmonkeys to the SAN crew today! Matt, as pictured, has been happily wearing his for 5 hours so far. Not only is it functional for comfort, it is also providing great amusement to the patients! It seems to work well for those with short hair, but the ribbon thingymebobs are better for those with pony tails. The other pic demonstrates "loom bands" which have been threaded through buttons to attach to the arms of glasses. More success! So, we are asking for donations of #barrelofmonkeys and more ribbons! This is something so simple yet so valuable for our front line workers. Please reach out if you can help us to help our nurses!

15.01.2022 Following a call out from the team that cared for Davo @ the Sydney Adventist Hospital, it was terrific to see some of our DBDs family rally around to return some TLC back to these amazing nurses! Given Nurses are required to wear masks for 8+hrs a day, many were experiencing pressure sores and discomfort whilst caring for their patients. These little ribbons & button creations are helping to make the nurses shifts so much more comfortable! Thank you so much to our sewing friends; Trisha, Suzy, Kim E, Helen, Kim Mc & Toni. If you able to help, please send us a PM so we can give you some instructions as plenty more are required!
