23.01.2022 Yes, I am frustrated. Ive been writing tenders for 20 years, and specifically for small and medium businesses and not for profit organisations, but still I am bewildered at the questions asked in a tender. With both the Federal Government and State and Territory governments continuing to implement new initiatives to increase SME participation, some tender questions are still too difficult for SMEs to even answer or compete with the larger organisations.... Dont get me wrong; I do understand that increasing Indigenous participation and social commitment is essential to the Australian marketplace. However, I also firmly believe these questions should be scaled according to the size of the business responding. As a small business, I would love to implement all these wonderful initiatives into my business. Still, the time and the financial commitment for investigation, implementation and ongoing sustainability is increasingly difficult. SMEs owners and operators currently wear multiple hats, face difficulties with cash flow as well as managing the ongoing challenges with operating a business. As a tender writing business, I continually work with my clients in developing unique solutions to answer each tender question, as it related to them, to ensure they can compete on a larger scale. At the same time, I continue to lobby with Councils and Government, in the hope that they can evaluate responses, based on the individual capacity, rather than as an overall measurement. Have you faced issues such as this in your tender? I would love to chat further with you as I am very interested in hearing your experiences and of course, outcomes.

23.01.2022 Are you running out of things to write about in your tender? Like business, creating a winning response requires research and understanding of your client and the marketplace in which you operate. When you are next writing a tender or a proposal, think about these points.... 1. View your service from a customers stance - adopting a customers viewpoint when connecting with a service is crucial. 2. Get to know your customer - understand the service and products that are expected. Friendly but professional customer service is a small but important and makes a big difference in maintaining satisfied customers. However, going above and beyond these expectations is often what provokes a reaction from clients and customers 3. Act on a customers feedback Acting on a customers feedback demonstrates that your business cares. it is important that customers appreciate that you have not only received and acknowledged their contact, but that they know what you intend to complete as a result. If you want to build a great, lasting business, never stop thinking about the world from your clients perspective. Find out more at https://buff.ly/2TNush9

17.01.2022 Consumers trust their friends. This is why word of mouth marketing is the most valuable source of marketing According to Nielsen, 92% of people trust recommendations from friends and family over any other type of advertising. Word of Mouth is really another marketing tool for your business. It allows you to:... Grow sales without spending money on advertising. But more importantly, you can build a community not a commodity: Word of mouth marketing lets you build an engaged fan base rather than a one-time customer. After 20 years in business, I have been so very fortunate to be part of the word of mouth marketing. I just wanted to send out a huge thank you across the interwebs to all of you, my clients and students. THANK YOU!

15.01.2022 This is a question I get asked a lot. I always answer in the same way. Leaning to write winning tenders is a skill. Thats why its worth learning to do it, rather than winging it. Tender writing is not intuitive. Its not like going to the pokies, putting a few coins in a slot and hoping for the best. And unfortunately, too many great businesses lose growth opportunities because their growth strategy relies on luck. Unless you understand what is behind writing a tender, your... tender wins will come down to luck. I dont know about you, but a few lucky wins are not the most reliable growth strategy. Dawtek offers a Complete Guide To Tender Training course which cover the nuts and bolts of tender writing, and everything in between. This is a DIY course, with lots of support, as well as life long access and regular updates. I know that not every business can afford a tender consultant, so that is why I developed this course. Ive been writing winning tenders for nearly 20 years and all my cumulative knowledge is packaged up neatly to help your business go from strength to strength. 07.01.2022 CVs are often a requirement for a tender and whats more, they can make or break a submission. Make sure your CV demonstrates: 1. Competence 2. Relevance 3. Evidence... 06.01.2022 When I started writing tenders for Dawtek, I had so many failures, rejections and of course so many tears. All I can say it to continue learning and I would urge you to take up any debrief opportunity if you are unsuccessful. Feedback from the evaluation panel can be invaluable in preparing your next tender. Debriefing is a great way to improve your next bid.... However, not all clients offer a debriefing session, or there may be a delay in offering an available time. You need to be respectful of this. They may be unavailable to answer your questions immediately and may not be able to do so until the contract is signed or the contest/protest period has passed. If you do not intend to protest, you should make this clear to the client and that you are seeking feedback to improve the quality of your submissions for the future. My Complete Guide to Tender Course, can help you write a winning tender and then there wont be any more tears. Find out more here: https://buff.ly/2TNush9
