23.01.2022 Willow and her full sister from another litter had some training last week. Unfortunately these two pups don’t get along and one of the sticky points was the back door. Here we are teaching the ‘wait at the door’ cue so they don’t rush through the threshold. Well done Willow!

19.01.2022 Whilst I am home looking after my own boy, I thought I would take the time to teach him some new behaviours to help stave off boredom. He is learning the chin rest and hand targeting. A little bit of training really helps to tire out the mind. ... A few short training sessions a day is so beneficial to our dogs mental health, and our own!

18.01.2022 Introducing Charchi, This little cutie is being fostered through Denise at Paws rescue. 14.01.2022 I had a return visit to this little pocket rocket Dusty today. we worked on his recall and in this video I was running with him and his handler Jade was able to recall him back to her with no issues at all! recall is such an important cue to teach our dogs. If we practice enough I’m various situations, we are more able to use the cue when needed like if they were to run out the door or run after something they shouldn’t. well some Dusty!

14.01.2022 Tonight was little Bears turn!

13.01.2022 Missy (formally known as Raven) is a recent adoptee from Campbelltown Animal Shelter. Missy was a very strong puller on her walks. Yesterday we did some training to help her become less of a freight train! Missy has no interest in food rewards so I had to adapt our training to accomodate this. I was really proud of her and her owners for getting this wonderful result in one session.... With continued structured walks, she will learn that pulling isn’t rewarding and walking nicely is the key. Well done Missy. See more

13.01.2022 Update on my Monster !

12.01.2022 Oh that face! little Ben has had a few rough experiences in his short life and has decided that new people/ things are pretty scary so must be barked at! When I met Ben, he decided that I must be another scary thing and tried to scare me away with his usual barking, however when that didn’t work, he finally decided that I wasn’t that bad. Ben was initially too over threshold to learn, however after a period of time, he settled and started his training journey. He impre...ssed his mum by performing a perfect ‘On your mat cue’ with an automatic sit. Baby steps are going to help Ben learn that life in the world can be a rewarding place. Well done little man, you overcame some fears today and I am proud of that See more

09.01.2022 I had a lovely visit again with the handsome Dusty. It was lovely to see how grown up he is now! Today Dusty had a little time up on his recall whilst under high distractions, Learning to automatically sit at the door when it opens instead of jumping up and remembering that people have a lot of value too! Not just the other dogs!... Well done Dusty See more

09.01.2022 As a kid did you used used to play the game ‘Step on a crack, break your mothers back’ !! Well that’s what this little man used to do with grates. Charchi had a real phobia about walking over grates. ... He used to do everything he could to avoid crossing them. He would curve as far around as possible or pancake to the ground. Today he did an awesome job of moving through this. He was able to cross them with so much more ease. Good for you Charchi See more
