Doors open at 10.30am light music will be played whilst being seated At 11.00am service starts with the blessing of the roses and the lighting of the candle, reflection, prayers, readings and speeches in memory of those who lost their lives Then onto the Memorial wall for the handing out of the roses, prayers and the laying of the wreaths Then moving to the bri...dge for the dropping of the roses Then moving back to the town hall for light music and refreshments Everyone is welcome to attended for those who are unable to attended please take a moment of your day to remember the 83 people who lost their lives and their families. The fallen roses Such beauty and such sorrow Will we all find tomorrow But there's no need for tears For our lord god is near Mother brings forth a child The clouds bring forth the rain The roses bring forth the love And death brings forth the pain Respect the ones who fell in battle And if a friend survived Hold them close and let them know You're glad that they're alive The Granville Train Disaster By Dan Monty
23.01.2022 If roses grow in heaven If roses grow in heaven lord, please pick a bunch for me Place them in my mothers arms and tell he they're from me Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile... Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while Because remember her is easy, I do it every day, But there is an ache within my heart that will never go away See more
17.01.2022 A place where children are What kind of place would heaven be with all its streets of gold, if al, the souls, that dwell up there like your and mine, were old? How strange would heavens music sound wheat harps begin to ring, if children were not gathered 'round to help the angels sing. The children that god send to us are only just a loan, he knows we need their sunshine to make a house a home, we need the inspiration of a baby's blessed smile. He doesn't say they've come to stay, just lends them for a while. Sometimes it tame them years to do work for which they come. Sometimes in just a month or two out father calls them home, I like to think some souls up there bear not one sinful scar. I love to think of heaven as a place where children are
17.01.2022 Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends of the loved ones that lost their lives 37 years ago. God bless you all
17.01.2022 We who love you, sadly miss you As it dawns another year In our lonely hours of thinking Thoughts of you are ever near.
17.01.2022 Forever in our hearts: A million times we needed you, a million times we cried, If love alone would have saved you, you would of never died, In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, In our hearts you hold a place, no one can ever fill, A light from our household is gone, a voice from our love is stilled, A place in our vacant home, which never can be filled, Some may think you are forgotten, though on earth you are no more, But in our memory you are with us, as you always were before, it breaks our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, a part of us went with you, the day god called you home. Your precious memories are for keepsakes, with which we never part, god has you safely in his keeping, but we have you forever in our hearts
15.01.2022 If tears could build a stairway If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again, No farewell words were spoke , no time to say goodbye, you were gone before I knew it and only god knows why My heart still aches in sadness, and secret tears will flow, what it meant to love you, no one can ever know, But now I know you want to mourn for you no more. To remember all the happy times, life still has much in store Since you'll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today, a hallowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay
06.01.2022 I would like to continue to add to the photo album of those who lost their lives in the memorial album, with a photo of the loved one lost and a story about them. Also please feel free to send your story, how this event affected you and your family or if you would just like to send an email feel free to email me (Christine) to [email protected] and I will be honored to post up up stories if you wish for them to be put onto the page. Please share this page with friends, family, other victims family, survivors etc. The more people added the more stories will be told and a larger support network formed. God bless you and your families Christine - page manager
