25.01.2022 Business Cards for Spic N Span Dry Cleaners Bundaberg

22.01.2022 Imagine hauling around heavy boxes of metal type a different set for every typeface and having to assemble your text letter by letter in order to design a document. That seems a world away from our point-and-click, instant world of digital design. But it really wasn’t too many years ago that a font was known as a specific set of movable metal type rather than a funny name in software program’s drop-down menu.

20.01.2022 An article by: By Christina Wang | July 15, 2016. So you’ve picked a stellar name for your company, crafted a catchy tagline, and chosen the perfect colors for your brand. But you’re not quite done. Don’t forget about an oft-overlooked component of visual communication: fonts. Just as colors elicit an emotional response, so too do fonts. For better or for worse, they evoke certain associations, feelings, and moods. Some fonts Comic Sans, Papyrus, Curlz MT are universally r...eviled, while fonts like HTF Didot and Akzidenz Grotesk are hailed for their elegance, beauty, and craft. Fonts communicate more than just words. Your choice of typography instantly says a lot about you and your business, and it influences how people perceive your messaging. The right font will drive your message home, and the wrong font will distract your audience and detract from your credibility.

03.01.2022 All typefaces are not created equally. Some are fat and wide; some are thin and narrow. So words set in different typefaces can take up a very different amount of space on the page. The height of each character is known as its 'x-height' (quite simply because it's based on the letter 'x'). When pairing typefaces such as when using a different face to denote an area of attention it's generally wise to use those that share a similar x-height. The width of each character is ...known as the 'set width', which spans the body of the letter plus a space that acts as a buffer with other letter. The most common method used to measure type is the point system, which dates back to the eighteenth century. One point is 1/72 inch. 12 points make one pica, a unit used to measure column widths. Type sizes can also be measured in inches, millimeters, or pixels.
