22.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #46 Sky Eye We have three different Dantians. The Lower Dantian, which is at the Qihai point, the Middle Dantian, which is at the Tanzhong point and the Upper Dantian, which is at the Yintang point.... In Qigong training, we call the Upper Dantian the Sky Eye (Tian Mu). Some other skills sometimes refer to it as the Third Eye. Do we really have a third eye? Yes we do! But it is not like our normal eyes as we only see with these. With this eye we see with our mind. The picture we see are not as clear as those we see with our normal eyes, but when the Skyeye has opened and is developed we start to pick up messages and signals. We start to know things, for example you might think of a friend and suddenly that person sends you a text. Also it is like when a mother knows something is happening to her children, or a couple who know each other is thinking before they say or do anything. These things are all possible because our minds can receive other peoples’ energy and thinking. We can read the energy of those people who are close to us as we know them better. Many people have this ability, particularly ladies and young children as they are more sensitive. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

21.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #47 Proper Qigong Practice Developing the ability of the Sky Eye is not the most important thing in Qigong, but might happen when you keep practising. The first thing we need to do is make ourselves healthy, as without good health we cannot do anything. When we are ill we spend most of time making ourselves well instead of doing things we want to do. So being unwell only slows down our personal development. In order to be healthy and look after our hea...lth we practise Qigong. This will develop our Qi and allows the Qi to work for us, to maintain our health no matter what the situation. Developing Qi is based on certain principles. If we can do all these things, then we can develop Qi. 1.Relaxation 2.Good posture 3.Move from the waist 4.Relate the movements to the acupuncture points and channels 5.Move from the internal body from inside to the outside There are also two parts to Qigong training, one is movement the other is mediation and we must practise both. We should always practise movement first. The best thing to do is a warm up first, like our Level 1 warm up, and then some Qigong movement. At the end, we must practise mediation which will help us to store our Qi. The first Qi will be stored at the Lower Dantian. Then the more we have it will start to rise up to the Middle Dantian and then when we have even more it will rise up to the Sky Eye. But this takes time and happens step by step. 18.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #44 Hard Qigong Training Most of the time, when we are talking about Qigong we talk about gentle and soft Qigong which is good for our health and can also develop some psychic and healing abilities. However, there is another powerful Qigong training which we call Hard Qigong.... Hard Qigong training is demanding as it has a lot of physical training, strong breathing and directing of the Qi. Therefore it has a lot of rules that must be strictly followed. There are some gentle exercises in Hard Qigong, but in comparison to Soft Qigong it is very demanding. We therefore need a good teacher to learn from who cannot only perform the movements, but also train you to do all those powerful skills. Hard Qigong demands strength and repetition of the movements and so we must follow the instructions and rules. Basically, for any Qigong training we must have a good teacher who is healthy and has a good and proper lineage. The teacher must have experience in bringing up students to be able to do it correctly. It is not so straight forward as learning from anyone, as people can easily create and modify the exercises. So it is best to learn from a good teacher. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

17.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #50 Ren Mai and Du Mai When we practise Qigong, we must understand and know about the Ren and Du Mai . The Ren Mai runs down the front of the body along the centre. It starts at the Huiyin point between the legs to the Cheng Jiang point . The Ren Mai controls the blood, the more blood we have the smoother the Ren Mai.... The Du Mai also starts at the Huiyin point and goes up the back, following the spine, the neck to the top of the head and then down the face to the nose and then to centre of the top gum in the mouth and this is the Yin Jiao point . The Du Mai controls the Qi. More Qi the smoother the Du Mai We can see that there is a connection of the Ren Channel and the end of the Du Channel at the mouth. When we close the mouth the Ren and Du Mai connect and the Qi can pass through from one to the other, also we will feel calmer and more settled. This because the Qi passes from the Ren Mai to the Du Mai and also the Du Mai passes Qi to the Ren Mai. That is Xiao Zhou Tian, it means Small Heavenly Cycle Therefore when we practise Qigong we should close the mouth so the Qi can run through the Ren and Du Mai. It is best if the Qi rises up the Du Mai and then comes down through the Ren Mai. Whenever we start a Qigong form we raise up our hands, the Qi rises up the Du Mai, we then lower our hands in front of us to the Dantian and the Qi passes down through the Ren Mai. 14.01.2022 Learning new movements and polishing old ones.

12.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #49 Xiao Zhou Tian When we perform Fang Song, we stimulate the front channel, the Ren Mai and the back channel the Du Mai . Ren means duty and Du means direct or governor. These channels need to be smooth and also connected together. Once we close our mouths and let the weight go onto our legs, these two channels will form a circle. This circle we call Xiao Zho Tian, which means Small Heavenly Circle. A Heavenly Circle must be ver...y important. We have many channels all over the body. In particular, the 12 main channels relate to our major organs, such as the lungs, heart etc. however these are not as important as the Ren Mai and Du Mai. Once Ren Mai and Du Mai has been formed a circle then it is much easier for the other 12 main channels to flow smoothly and have more Qi, then we will be healthier and our condition will be better. So when we practise Qigong, we must do Fang Song and Shou Gong, keeping our mouths closed and our weight on our legs. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

09.01.2022 Qigong is normally soft but it sometimes needs to be hard as well so that there is balance. Some good work on Healthy Living Gong part 3 tonight.

08.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #51 Internal and External Body When we are practising Qigong, it is easy to feel the Qi flowing inside. In the beginning, we just feel warm, feel good and then might start to feel tingling in the hands and in particular the finger tips. Then as we practise more, we begin to feel things in other parts of the body. At first you might find these feeling unusual, but in the end you will feel good. This is most important.... Once we have started practising the body will begin to become more active inside and will respond more to the outside. If we want to be healthy, then we need the internal body to be more active and sensitive, more than usual. Then you can gather more Qi from outside the body. The external body should also relate, respond and be more connected to the internal body. This means when we move our arms or take a step, or turn our waist, it is not just our arm, leg or waist moving, but instead the movement comes from inside the body. This is the natural way and why we should always remain relaxed as it helps the internal and the external body connect more deeply. Then the Qi can flow better and more strongly, then the healthier we are. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

08.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #52 Second and Third Most Important Channels There are many channels in the body. Before we talk about the most important channel we must first understand the second and the third most important channels. The Ren and Du Mai are equally important and these are the second and the third most important channels in the body. The system of channels or meridians is called Jinglou . The main channels in the body, like the Ren, Du, Dai etc, are the Eight ...Extra Channels which we call Mai. The Eight Extra Channels or Eight Unusual Mai are stronger and allow more Qi to flow around the body. They are like the motorways which can take more traffic in the UK. The second and third most important Mai are the Ren and Du Mai, why is this? This is because, If more Qi is able to flow through the Ren and Du then the 12 Ordinary Channels will be smooth and in good condition. The 12 Main Channels are: Lung Channel of Hand Taiyin Larger Intestine Channel of the Hand Yangming Stomach Channel of the Foot Yangming Spleen Channel of the Foot Taiyin Heart Channel of the Hand Shaoyin Small Intestine Channel of the Hand Taiyang Bladder Channel of the Foot Taiyang Kidney Channel of the Foot Shaoyin Pericardium Channel of the Hand Jueyin Sanjiao (Triple Warmer) Channel of the Hand Shaoyang Gall Bladder Channel of the Foot Shaoyang Liver Channel of the Foot Jueyin When these channels are smooth and in good condition, then it means all the channels of the internal organs are strong and healthy, and it also means you are healthy too. 06.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #45 Knowing Hard Qigong If we want to know more about Qigong we should study both Soft Qigong, which is gentle, soft and relaxed, and also Hard Qigong, which is strong and powerful. When we understand Chinese philosophy we know that everything has two sides two energies, Yin and Yang, so to understand the whole thing, you need to know both, so we should learn Soft and Hard Qigong. This is how Chinese skills have developed over thousands of years and ...lasted that long and also why Western people often find Chinese skills mystical and also very ancient as well. However, when we have two sides, we must also have a centre to balance both sides. When we study Hard Qigong we will also see the knowledge of Soft Qigong, such as understanding the Dantian, relaxation, posture, acupuncture points and channels. So it is the same knowledge, just applied in a different way. Hard Qigong is very strict and has many rules which we need to follow to guide us so we can avoid making mistakes. We need to follow them because Hard Qigong develops strength and we cannot do this too quickly or do too much. Instead we must build up slowly and then we will not injure ourselves. Hard Qigong training also requires some herbal medicines to make the skin, muscle and bones stronger. All these skills must be learnt from a good and experienced teacher. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

06.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #48 Fang Song When we are beginning to practise Qigong, we should first do our warm up and then afterwards we need to do Fang Song three times. Fang means let go, Song means loosen up. This movement is the same performed the same way as Shou Gong . We should stand still with our legs shoulder-width apart, slowly raise up two hands either side of our body with the palms open and thumbs open. Opening the palms and the thumb relates to the L...aogong , and Hegu points so we can gather more Qi. As we bring the hands in front of the face we turn the palms so they face us and we slowly drop them down passing the face, shoulders, chest, abdomen and finally coming to rest in front of the Dantian. We repeat this a further two time, so we do it three times in total. Three times is a good number as it helps us to relax before we do our forms. As we raise up the hands, the Qi will rise up the Du Mai from the back. The Du Mai runs from the Huiyin point which is between the legs, up the spine, over the top of the head to the mouth which inside the Yinjiao point. As the hands drop down from the face to the Dantian, the Qi will run down the Ren Mai , from the mouth under the lower lip Cheng Jiang ponit, to the chest down to the Huiyin point. So we can see that it is important these two channels, the Du and Ren Mai must be clear. So the Qi will flow better. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

03.01.2022 We worked on Balancing Gong tonight. It maybe the first form we learn at the Tse Qigong Centre but it has so much depth to it.

02.01.2022 Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #53 Ren and Du Mai We have talked about how the Ren and Du Mai are the second as third most important channels because they form the Xiao Zhou Tian, Small Heavenly Circle, when they join together. Once the Xiao Zhou Tian if formed the Qi will keep flowing and all the 12 Major Channels will be smooth and the Qi will flow better. The body’s system will be strong and we would rather focus on this than induvial channels.... However, between the Ren and Du Mai, do you know which is more important? This is the Ren Mai. Although with both Mai the Qi starts at the bottom at the Huiyin point and rises up the front and back of the body, but if we want the Qi to flow better we must be able to let the Qi flow down the front via the Ren Mai. The more we bring the Qi down, as in Fang Song and Shou Gong where we bring the Qi down from the head to the Dantian, then the Dantian will be stronger and the flow of Qi will also be stronger. Then it can rise up from the Dantian. We cannot bring the Qi up by ourselves, we need to bring the Qi down first. Then when there is enough Qi it will rise up by itself. This is the natural way. Every time we bring our hands down from the face to the Dantian the Qi will flow down the Ren Mai and so the flow of Ren Mai will become smooth and the Du Mai will also be smooth and then the Xiao Zhou Tian will be formed. So the Ren Mai is the second most important channel and the Du Mai is the third most important channel. Michael Tse www.londonqigong.net

01.01.2022 Another great class tonight. The process of learning Qigong requires patience. It's not just a case of learning the movements. It takes time for the movements to become part of you.
