15.01.2022 We want to hear from you by completing our club insights survey - Help shape DFNC's future Dear players, parents, volunteers and supporters, We are writing to you today to seek your support and input as we implement an exciting initiative at the Club. We have engaged Club Builder 2035 to run a Community Sports Insights Survey (the Survey) to help us better understand our stakeholder base as we plan for the future of the Club.... The Survey (and the resultant Insights Report) will provide the Committee with clear insights into the thoughts, hopes and concerns of our members and stakeholders. It is critical to the planning process that we hear your thoughts and views. Accordingly, Club Builder have prepared an online survey to capture your thoughts around some key questions about the club. We ask that all players, parents, members and supporters, and anyone that has an interest in the future of the club, takes the time to click through to the survey and provide your input. The survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete BUT the insights that you provide will provide benefit to the club both this year and beyond. Please note that the survey responses will go directly to Club Builder and no-one from the Committee or Club Management will be able to see your responses. Club Builder will provide an anonymous summary of the survey results in a Strategic Insights Report. So, please feel comfortable to be open and honest in your responses. To complete the survey, please click on the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JVK8Q7H Thanks in advance, The DFNC committee
15.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE! We have been advised this afternoon that Newlyn will be withdrawing all three of their teams this Saturday (against Skipton) as a precaution due to one of their U18's players having a close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID. As a precaution also Rokewood's U18 team will also not be playing (as they played Newlyn last Saturday). This is an IMPORTANT reminder to players, parents and volunteers how quickly footy can be shut down. ... We will be reminding players again on Thursday at training of the COVID safety protocols and that everyone needs to follow the these. Specifically players will be reminded they have very limited access to the change rooms. I have also been advised Police will be patrolling the ground on Saturday and will hand out fines to anyway who is not socially distancing correctly. Everyone did a great job for our first home game...lets keep it up to make sure we can play every game this season! Go Dogies!

04.01.2022 **** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT DFNC CANCELS REMAINDER OF JUNIOR SEASON! *** It's with regret that the DFNC has decided to withdraw all junior teams from the remainder of the season. When we decided to field teams COVID 19 was largely contained. As of today this is a different story and we feel that the only safe option for the club is to withdraw our players. I want to take this opportunity to THANK all the players, parents, coaches, team managers and volunteers who all worked hard to get the season started. Of course we all knew this could happen...we just hoped it wouldn’t! We will up-date you all further over the coming days.

04.01.2022 Victoria Park Football Oval will be undergoing some renovation works replacing the cool season grass with a warm season grass (Santa ana Couch). This will pro...vide a much improved playing surface to cater for the wear and tear while also requiring less water making it more sustainable in the future. The oval will be sprayed out in a controlled manner next week with a selective herbicide which will kill the existing cool season grasses to make way for the line planting scheduled for the coming weeks. Due to oval renovation works the footy oval will have restricted access until late March/early April to provide optimal conditions for the grass to grow and establish. During this period we ask the public to please keep off the oval. Thank you for your cooperation and if you have any questions please contact Council on 03 5348 2306.
04.01.2022 REMINDER - Open invitation - strategic planning workshop - Wed 13th Jan at 6pm Just a reminder we are looking for as many people as possible to attend our strategy workshop on Wed 13th Jan at 6pm at Vic Park. The workshop will be professionally facilitated by Club Builder 365 and form the basis for our club plan for the next 3 to 5 years. Given the year we just had, this is your chance to get involved and help shape the clubs future.... If our club is going to grow and prosper it is going to require input, contribution and commitment from everyone, not just our hard working committee. This is a great opportunity for you to show your support. We look forward to seeing you there!
03.01.2022 Vic Park Update The new grass on Vic Park is coming along nicely, even starting to take in a few spots already. Our team will continue to monitor conditions ...and adjust the watering schedule as needed. The good news is we are on track to be ready for the start of the footy season! We need to remind everyone again though to stay off the oval until the start on January (and yes that includes the doggos). That way, we will get the best grass growth we can. Thanks!
02.01.2022 Footy finally returns to Vic Park! Very few people thought we would actually see any footy at Vic Park this year as part of any organised competition. Today all three of our junior teams ran out to play. It was great to see them all running around having a kick after such un-predictable year. The feedback from players and parents was overwhelming positive. A big thanks to CHFL in making the junior footy comp a reality. Also a MASSIVE thanks to our hard working committee and v...olunteers (team managers, umpires, coaches and parents) who all busted a gut to make sure we fielded teams today. Of course we would have loved to see all our netball and senior footy playing as well...this will be back and stronger in 2021. No doubt there will be a lot of tired and probably sore footballers tomorrow but a pain well worth all the effort! Here's a few more pics from todays action.
02.01.2022 Congratulations to our U17s for their netball win tonight.
02.01.2022 The current COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all in many ways. As a result Central Highlands Rural Health is conducting a survey to learn more about how the i...mpacts of COVID-19 are affecting the wellbeing of people across our community. Knowing more about this will help as we seek to find positive ways to continue to support people now and into the future. If you are aged 18 years and over we would really appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HealthduringCOVID19 Survey will take approx. 10 minutes to complete and closes on the 15th August. Survey respondents will not be asked to disclose their personal identity. All data collected will be used in line with CHRH Privacy Policy. We encourage you to share this survey with any other community members/groups that you think would like to contribute to helping us to identify our current community needs.
