23.01.2022 Three learnings that have been life-shifting for me: 1. Anxiety is one of the most contagious emotions - thats why it always takes down groups of people, not j...ust individuals. 2. Calm is also contagious, but its a daily intention and practice. 3. We all have patterned ways of dealing with anxiety that are often set up in our first families. Understanding how and why can set us free. This is a picture of me with my little brother and sisters. I was the protector and czar (aka overfunctioning boot camp). 22.01.2022 Drop The Rope! I love these memes. We can be in a tug of war with our mind in an attempt to control our thoughts and emotions. We use so much energy pulling o...n the rope and it leads to feeling tired and more distressed. The harder you pull the harder the monster (or your mind) pulls! The best thing to do is Drop The Rope. You havent won the battle and the monster is still around. However it frees you up to do something productive, to move towards achieving your goals, and live by your values. See more

19.01.2022 We're asking people to stay home and save lives. But for some Victorians, home is the most dangerous place to be. Today we announced the expansion of the Orange... Door Network across the state. Five new hubs where Victorians who need support, can turn to and feel safe. A place that can change lives, and most importantly - save lives. My message to every Victorian is that help is there if you need it. There is never an excuse for violence. And fleeing family violence is always a reason to leave home - restrictions or not. If you see or hear someone being hurt or intimidated, call 000. Share these numbers with the people around you. And remember that family violence isn't always physical. You never know who might need help.
19.01.2022 Hi everyone, Just an update that I am still working as usual and am again going back to online video conferencing. This has been a really good way of continuing to support the people I work with. I still have room for more referrals so please do not hesitate to refer to me if needed. ... It has been such a relief to find out we can continue to support those who have exceeded their current Mental Health Care Plans with an additional 10 sessions, it has been so exciting to let my clients know this. I have also just created a website so please take a look! https://daynataberner.wixsite.com/website Any feedback is most welcome. Thanks everyone for your continued support. Stay well.

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and safe during this time. I am still operating and trying to keep everything as available and smooth as possible. I have made the transition to online only appointments. There are many benefits to online consults, it is very easy to get used to, it is very accessible and of course can have the same benefits as face to face. I am trying to keep business as usual and continue to support as many people as possible, during this diff...icult time. If you are struggling currently with your mental health please consider contacting your GP for a mental health care plan and book an appointment for counselling. My general advice is to try to keep up routine, balance and activities within the home as much as possible. Thinking of you all and take care. Dayna Taberner

12.01.2022 #Repost @realdepressionproject The coronavirus has been declared a pandemic - the widespread impact it is having is truly devastating. There has be...en a lot of attention of course on the physical health consequences, the societal impact, the economic impact... but very little on the impact it is having on mental health Unfortunately it looks like the situation is getting worse and will continue to (at least short-term) - this is why its so important to: 1) Acknowledge the role it will/ is having on your mental health (as illustrated in this post) 2) Prioritise your mental health ESPECIALLY during this period - the outer world is very uncertain / volatile at present which makes our inner world vulnerable. Please look after it! . . Please share to raise awareness of the mental health impacts - theres been so little coverage of them and its so important to raise awareness of this . . #iWILL #CommunityConnections #MHmatters #YouMatter #HealingForward #iMATTER #CelebrationOfHope #MentalHealthBV #MentalWellness #BVcares #anxietysupport #anxietyawareness #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthsupport #mentalillness #endthestigma #breakthestigma #stopthestigma #itsokaynottobeokay #realdepressionproject #thedepressionproject

02.01.2022 94% of the time, the way a discussion starts determines the way it will end. Taking a pause to prepare yourselves before the conversation begins will allow you ...to go into it with mindful intention. If you are needing to have a difficult conversation with a loved one or process conflict in your relationship, preparation is the best way to make sure it goes as well as possible. Based on The Aftermath of a Fight exercise, ask yourself the following questions before you get into difficult conversations. When you and your partner are able to respond "yes" to all of these questions, processing can begin. Read more about the five steps to The Aftermath of a Fight: https://bit.ly/2MKpwIf
