25.01.2022 Nelson Midwives have been distributing Days for Girls heavy flow menstrual kits to new mums plus an added extra of a lovely pack of 6 washable breast pads, made from our left ocer fabrics. Now this little fella seems to be very excited that his mum is using sustainable products and helping our environment!

21.01.2022 Our lovely volunteers have this week packed up 100 kits for the Cook Islands as part of a 500 kit distribution. We just have to get them to Auckland...anyone travelling up that way who could take 2 stripped wharehouse bags please. We would love to hear from you.

20.01.2022 Richmond Rotary would like to acknowledge the monthly donations made by Hearts and Bones Pilates in Richmond to their Days for Girls Project. Tania Huddart has been instructing Pilates for over 25 years and is passionate about inspiring women and girls to reach their full potiential. Thank you Hearts and Bones for CONNECTING with your community.

18.01.2022 Our 100 kits are part of a New Zealand wide 900 kit delivery to Fiji ready to be distributed via Byond Disaster Relief NZ for this seasons Cyclone Response. I now have 3 boxes all packed needing to be transported to Bulls NZ, where Lyndon Tamblyn will organise for them to go into a container on the Sea Mercy ship. So has anyone out there got a contact with a freighting company that could take 3 boxes of beautifully made sustainable hygiene kits to Bulls for a charity? I would love to hear from you...

18.01.2022 Our Nelson team connect with our local community and when Rosa from Columbia suggested a shared lunch we all jumped on board. Unity embraced us as we held hands and listened to a prayer in Spanish, which was translated by Gabi. Thank you all for sharing your stories and for being amazing volunteers at Days for Girls.

17.01.2022 Two weeks ago, we announced our emergency campaign to aid Lebanon’s women & girls in the wake of the #BeirutBlast. Since then, our global network has rallied fo...r the cause in unprecedented ways: Days for Girls Lebanon Enterprise leaders are in the midst of making and distributing on the ground Chapters & Teams have made , for emergency relief - at least 9,000 of which will go straight to Beirut Everyone is doing their part even the men! For years, the men pictured here were too shy to take up the DfG cause. Now they're stepping up to advocate, distribute Kits and represent Days For Girls in the streets! . <3

15.01.2022 Our Nelson team have been busy sewing face masks! They are $10 each and available in a range of 2 patterns and colours. All funds raised go back into our Days for Girls Project to help buy the 100% cotton fabric and components that make up our gorgeous kits. 15.01.2022 Check out Womens Wellness Day. Book your place for this inspiring day. I will be giving a short presentation on Days for Girls and monies raised from the raffle will go towards our charity. Thank you Hearts and Bones Pilates

11.01.2022 Today’s #FeatureFriday is dedicated to Helen Griffin, our fabulous DfG New Zealand Country Coordinator - Helen has been with Days For Girls since starting ou...r very first NZ chapter in 2011 (along with her then-teenaged daughter). After nearly a decade of service, she is most proud of making a meaningful difference at home / ' ! - Now, she is excited to see our impact grow "in her own backyard" with the expansion of DfG programs into the neighboring Pacific Island Nations. Helen hopes to see as many lives changed as possible, and is still blown away by the transformative impact of our small-but-mighty Kits. - " ' ?" she says. "' . ' ' ."

10.01.2022 Sharing the latest news from the Good Foundation School. Jamiee"s building progress has been delayed somewhat due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, but they are still in good spirits by the sounds of this article. Wish we could send over more kits!

07.01.2022 Days for Girls making a difference in Nairobi. Look at all those vibrant colours.

05.01.2022 Yes Karen, our volunteers are busy sewing at home also and my dining room table is full of fabric to cut! We are also making washable breast pads in a pack of 6 that are going to be distributed through plunket soon.

05.01.2022 Not all our volunteers sew for us. Some cut fabric and PUL so our seamstresses can create their magic. Debra and her team in Nelson are responsible for die cutt...ing all the fabric and PUL for our shields as well as the PUL for our transport bags. Enclosed with the latest big box of cut fabric was a delightful note. Other volunteers transport fabric, knickers, soaps and other assorted necessities from far and wide. This is Sue, Jenny Bevin's sister who delivered over 150 pairs of knickers from Altrusa Timaru and their kindhearted family and friends.

04.01.2022 A huge thank you to Conroy Removals Tahuna who are kindly taking our 3 boxes of Days for Girls kits to Bulls so they can be loaded into shipping container heading to Fiji for Cyclone Relief Response. We are very grateful for your kindness.

02.01.2022 Team Nelson is back in action again after a long Covid holiday. We even had Claudia's husband Alvaro join us on Tuesday. He immediately found the broom and swept up our entrance way. Just when he thought he could relax l found him some "girl" jobs to do, like cutting the ribbon and burning the ends! Everyone happy to be back in action.

01.01.2022 Our wee storeroom is looking very colourful stocked with components. On Tuesday it was a full house with 13 volunteers arriving to help make a difference in the lives of women and girls enduring period poverty. We are now supplying the Community Karitane staff with local kits and washable breast pads to assist new mums. We have FUN at Days for Girls, where communities connect. We even celebrate birthdays with a song n dance thanks to our Columbian volunteers!!
