21.01.2022 The children at Daystars had a fun time cooking sausages to celebrate Australia day. Ms Linh our lovely chef, guided children throughout and helped them to combine the ingredients and give a sausage like shape to the meat. The bread dough was made yesterday as it needed some resting. The end result was not only looked amazing but tasted yum too.

21.01.2022 Happy Easter!!!! Children at Daystars haf an eventful and exciting day as we enjoyed a number of Easter activities. From making baskets to chickens and jumping and hopping like bunnies. The highlight was the Easter egg hunt. It was indeed fun finding those yummy eggs!!!!!

They were each presented with a graduation certificate, a special book and cake to celebrate.... We wish you all the best as you move off to big school and hope you come back to visit us soon! and so the adventure begins!

16.01.2022 Children at Daystars paid repect to our soldiers by making and also painting special poppies. The educators spoke about the importance of the day and the significance of making Anzac biscuits.

14.01.2022 Apreciation Recognition Awards Our inventors have shown an incredible progress towards taking initiative in helping others, being kind, taking responsibility of their learning and natural environment through as well as showing enthusiasm while participating in group time. We have started ‘Well done rewards’ strategy to recognize and support our children’s enhanced participation in planned and spontaneous educational experiences and independency. 10.01.2022 Investigation and Discovery : Its all about bugs!! Our preschoolers over the past week have shown a lot if interest in Insects and bugs. The educators have been working on extending their interests by providing more hands on experiences and an inviting learning environment.

07.01.2022 Welcome back to another exciting year of discovering, exploring and inventing!!!! Our first week back was extremely busy, Where on one hand we have been gardening and taking care of our plants , whilst, on the other hand we have been exploring all about beetles. A few glimpses of our first week back.

07.01.2022 All the three rooms have begun practicing Christmas carols. We take up music everyday with our children as music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. So, exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. 06.01.2022 What an amazing month it has been for our Preschoolers. They enjoyed learning "All about the world". Together they explored a number of countries and shared with each other their experiences. A big Thank you to all families who contributed in making this amazing Project wall.

05.01.2022 This week, our pre-schoolers participated in a range of literacy rich experiences where they developed fundamental literacy concepts such as print concept, text directionality, phonics, and ability to differentiate between letters, words, and sentences. Children also used digital technology to construct their knowledge of sustainable practices to contribute towards saving and protecting their natural resources and environment.... They also participated in various science experiments that allowed them to develop dispositions for learning and development such as an interest, curiosity as wells enthusiasm and concentration.

04.01.2022 Our preschoolers are learning to take responsibilities! These days we are encouraging them to self-serve morning tea/afternoon tea meals as a part of school readiness program. There are so many wonderful skills children learn as they serve their own plates. They learn to be social, caring, and self-directed diners in group settings. Most importantly, children learn to listen to and manage their own feelings of being full or hungry. 02.01.2022 We celebrated ‘A festival of Lights’ DIWALI with lots of thoughfully designed experiences where children explored different ways of being, doing and knowing and develop confident self identities. We invited Muhil’s mum Ramya, who came in wearing a beautiful saree and talked about how her family celebrates Diwali together. The staff dressed in beautiful Indian wears and we enjoyed a meal of Indian cumin rice and dhal Eylf: 2.1,2.2,2.3,2.4

02.01.2022 We at Daystars love the contribution of our families to our learning environment. A Big Thank you to a wonderful dad Alexandr who took out time from his busy schedule to talk to our preschoolers about space and shared interesting facts and stories.

02.01.2022 Artistic Expression on floor called Rangoli in India. The preschoolers were super excited to make this pattern using coloured rice and pasta. After this we were joined for a little talk on Diwali by a lovely mum Ramya. Thank you so much Ramya for showing children how we dress up, decorate our houses and enjoy having sweets with family and friends. Our babies loved the dress ups.

02.01.2022 Happy Birthday to dear Jayden. A big 5 now. We still remember your first day as a little baby. We have seen you grow into a confident preschooler ready to embark his new journey as you start big school soon. We wish you all the best big boy.

01.01.2022 Today we celebrated Armistice Day, also known as Remembrance Day. This day is special as it marks the end of First World War. It is a day to mourn and we observed a minute of silence at 11am to remember those who served our country during the war. Our educators discussed with children the inportance of this day and its relevance in history as well as the significance of red poppies. We followed up with a craft activity and created our own poppies.... We remember our fallen heroes and honour the sacrifice of those who served their country. Lest we forget

01.01.2022 We are ready for Halloween!!!!! We at Daystars strive to create an inclusive environment for all children that allow all children feeling a sense of belonging by celebrating their own cultures, exploring others cultures, and embracing diversities. During this Halloween week, we provided children with a range of play based learning experiences such as bats and pumpkin craft, music and movement, making Halloween cookies, reading ‘Room on the broom’ as well ...as sensory hand painting. The experiences allowed children achieve educational outcomes such as creative thinking, problem solving, use of expressive descriptive language, fundamental literacy concepts and imagination. Children through celebrating Halloween week, also developed an awareness of the diverse society they live in and learnt to show respect for different ways of being, living and enjoying. We wrapped up Halloween celebration with a fun filled musical story telling session followed by a afternoon Tea picnic !

01.01.2022 "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow". We at Daystars are trying hard to plant and maintain our little garden. Our very talented Inventors love taking care of the garden and also enjoy learning about new plants and herbs. This week Ms Linh spoke to them about "mint". We spoke about how useful mint is. We all took turns to smell it and came to know that it has a fresh, cool and distinct smell.
