21.01.2022 Hello Legends. Well, here we are at the end of another year at Blacktown Lunatic Asylum.... Did I say that?....... no, Daytona Motorcycles. I meant Daytona Motorcycles. :) ... 1st July 2020 marks 2 years since DM opened its doors. Its going well, and I'm still here. Thank you all for your continued custom, and I do my best to provide quality service and repairs for your bike. This year has been better than the last, despite a few interruptions from some health issues, meaning doctors appointments, and few hospital visits. To those who have expressed support and understanding during these times, I offer my hearfelt thanks. A special thanks must go to my fabulous customers who may have been inconvenienced by these circumstances. I have no desire to close the shop when these issues arise, and appreciate your understanding when it happens. I know this can be disruptive to your plans. I am actually really enjoying running the shop, and despite being terminally poor, it is always good to open up every day. I can honestly say it never gets old pulling up the roller door to start a new day. Thank you all, and see you soon.

20.01.2022 Greetings legends. Been a while since a post, so here is some motor porn. The Honda RCV211 V5 990cc.... Beautifully finished, even down to the colours and paint quality, (if this motor is not a display unit) given that this motor won't be seen outside the confines of a MotoGP garage. One thing I noticed, it appears to use a regular Honda oil filter, as the warning on the oil filter end is exactly the same as on the Honda filters you buy from your dealer.

Its been a whole hour since the radio spot, where is the fame and fortune...? I mean a WHOLE HOUR....how long do I have to wait? I think I've been sold a dud...... damn.....

05.01.2022 Greeting legends. It appears that Daytona Motorcycles will be on Triple M Sydney this Wednesday from 10.00 onwards. Its part of the "Shop Small Shop Local" promotion they are doing. ... I'll be recorded for about 20 mins from 10.00, and then I think the slots get played over the course of the day. I'm gonna be famous.........well sorta..... Looking forward to it. :)

04.01.2022 Hi all. We will be closed this Saturday, the 27th June. Some of you know I am a steam locomotive enthusiast. ... I am a member of Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society. Check out slsls.asn.au During the COVID19 restrictions, the club grounds at West Ryde have been closed, but with the easing of restrictions we are having a members day. Ahhhh, the smell of steam and the chuff chuff of the engines. The picture shows me driving the club loco, bequeathed to the club some years ago. Its called "The Old Girl" its believed to be the second oldest 5in gauge engine in Australia, originally built in 1935.
