13.01.2022 True to my expectations, the push against non-self-contained travel has now struck in New Zealand. Website i.stuff.co.nz has reported that New Zealand’s Tourism Minister (Stuart Nash) said on Radio NZ’s Morning Report that ...freedom camping in vehicles that are not self-contained will be banned as part of efforts to market New Zealand to super-wealthy overseas tourists. Naturally, rubbish and waste also feature as good reasons to curtail campers’ impact on the countryside ...and communities.
