18.01.2022 Straight from the Horse's mouth!! We regularly talk about keeping our dogs and cats teeth clean and in good shape for better health. Horses are exactly the same. These photos are of nurse Sonya's horses having their yearly dental checks and Hendra vaccinations. Just like dogs and cats, they, too can have dental problems which can lead to other health issues. All done under sedation of course!

18.01.2022 What should you do if your pet is stung by a bee or a wasp? In most cases, there will be mild swelling and tenderness at the sting site. Try to remove the tiny stinger (if you can find it) and apply a cold compress. If your pet is constantly bothered by or licking at the area call us. Always seek veterinary advice IMMEDIATELY if your pet is having trouble breathing, has pale gums, has collapsed or is vomiting.

If the itch gets out of control, the trauma caused by scratching can lead to skin infections and the need for antibiotics. So even if you don't see fleas on your pet it’s important to make sure they are protected. Ask us for more info.
