25.01.2022 "FOR YOUR TOMORROW, WE GIVE OUR TODAY" Within the grounds of Springvale Botanical Cemetery is the Australian War Graves Garden of Remembrance. The garden honours the veterans buried within it, as well as those with a remembrance plaque on the official Australian War Graves walls.... Very grateful rain, hail, and shine for those that came before us !
24.01.2022 Good evening, As you are likely aware, over the weekend, the Victoria Premier announced the move into Stage 4 restrictions for Melbourne and declared Victoria to have entered a State of Disaster. Stage 3 restrictions were also announced for many parts of regional Victoria. While essential services will continue to operate during this time, including funeral services of up to 10 people. We understand the added difficulty of restrictions imposed on our families as further busi...ness restrictions come into effect tomorrow night. We deeply appreciate your help in supporting our community throughout these unprecedented times. Please visit the DHHS website for more on Stage 4 restrictions.
23.01.2022 Albeit social distancing is a must, let’s not let it overtake love, kindness and supporting others!
23.01.2022 Sadly this is still the case .....for now anyways !
22.01.2022 I remember having one of these phones! In the days when smaller was better ! So grateful we have more ways to stay in touch these days! Remembering to check in with each other is always important but seems now more than ever our phones help us do that while we battle through all the restrictions.
22.01.2022 With so much isolation, negativity and the fear of unknown in our lives it’s easy to feel helpless and alone. Let’s all remember to check in with each other, be kind and remember we’re all in this together! As day always follows night, red lights turn green, doors that where closed will open, things will get better....
21.01.2022 Many cemeteries do so much to create inspiring places of remembrance, designed to meet the needs of families now and into the future.
20.01.2022 I wish we where able to share better news; funerals back to attendance of only 10 mourners not just in last weeks identified hot spots but across metro Melbourne. Always touched by others kindness, gratitude and love! Finding new ways to stay close despite a myriad of restrictions.
18.01.2022 2020 = A difficult year for so many and we’ve still got a fair way to go. We’re all missing seeing each other’s smiles, being able to gather with friends or loved ones and all the other little things we took for granted just a few months ago. A new seasons on its way - Spring!
16.01.2022 So many peaceful areas; Anderson Creek Cemetery, Warrandyte.
13.01.2022 Yah first day of Spring in Australia ! Time to evacuate from Winter! Loving these significantly warmer days, causing new plant growth to "spring forth. Some daffodils and jonquils to brighten the day.
12.01.2022 It’s nice to see a few more families and friends now able to join funeral services for love ones. This weeks announcement from the Victoria governments coronavirus restrictions, now allowing up-to 20 people for indoor funerals and 30 people at an outside service. Note these numbers are in addition to the minimum people required to conduct the funeral; clergy, funeral staff etc
12.01.2022 Victoria’s country cemeteries are open and peaceful. Last month we went from Sunbury to Gembrook to Yarra Junction! We are happy to go where our families would like and especially where they feel at peace for their dear loved ones.
12.01.2022 We are continuously learning. Education and learning are keys to understanding and best serving our families. So many faiths, so many ways of honouring and remembering loved ones. ... Helping our families organise a fitting tribute is our greatest desire.

10.01.2022 Live-streaming funeral services has become so common due to the current Victorian restrictions. We hope for the day when our families are able to gather, mourn and comfort each other in person!
09.01.2022 COVID-19 restrictions eased this week allowing up to 50 mourners attending a funeral (in addition to the people required to reasonably conduct the funeral. Social distancing must still be maintained but we are grateful our families are able to invite more friends and families to be with, comfort and support them during such times. We are still very mindful of the health and safety of the families we serve, our team and the wider community and do our best to comply with government restrictions while serving our families.
08.01.2022 So many flowers to chose from. Natives with roses. I wouldn’t have naturally thought of this combination but I do like them. Flowers can symbolise so much and brighten our days !

06.01.2022 Saying goodbye to a loved one is difficult, a beautiful tribute is a white dove release. These white angel doves are a vivid symbol of hope, providing family and friends with a special way to say goodbye as the dove makes its way back home.
06.01.2022 Today, Funeral gatherings have increased to 20 people, not including the Funeral Director, support staff and any children under 12 months of age.
05.01.2022 I’ve enjoyed remembering my forefathers this week following Fathers Day! I am reminded behind all of them are even better women. Our funeral service wasn’t established in the 1900s like many of the big companies, yet we seek to mirror values taught and learnt from our family that came before us. We seek for complete professionalism, excellent customer service, and the cultural sensitivity to accommodate a wide variety of family needs and traditions as we serve our families.

04.01.2022 Mask your face, Don’t mask your heart Good evening, We hope you are staying safe and well, as we continue to adjust to the changing environment. ... As you will know, effective tomorrow wearing a face mask or covering will be compulsory if you leave your home for any reason. For your info The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has advised that this includes anyone attending a funeral service, including family members and funeral attendants, as well as those visiting cemetery grounds. Specific directives on face mask use including exceptions can be found on the DHHS website.
