15.01.2022 HAPPY 4TH BDAY TO US What a journey it has been. 4 years seems to have flown by and we have definitely seen our ups and downs throughout the years. So, let’s take a trip down memory lane. We started off as Big Poppa’s Burgers and the first month seen 15,000 customers come through our doors. It was absolute mayhem and definitely a learning curve, but you guys and girls couldn’t get enough. Our initial post went viral, with over 2 million views on the video. Unfortunately..., that brought with it some unwanted attention and next thing you know we were lined up for court to make us change our name. So, we ended up with what you know today as Downtown Brooklyn! But that didn’t stop us! You all know us and how we like to stir the pot. It was no surprise to us that Cease-and-Desist letters didn’t stop there. We’ve had our fair share of them that we even created a photo wall ranging from Tella Balls, Krispy Kreme and Reese’s. We even ranked in Australia’s Top 10 most complained about ads for our little Reese’s Stunt in 2019. And we all know about our beef with Burgerhead that surely kept you entertained! It hasn’t all been shit stirring though. We have created some amazing Burger and Dessert specials that you all fell in love with. We even went and built a Rooftop Basketball Court to keep those kids (and adults) entertained whilst you chow down on some burgers and put your feet up whilst sipping on some cocktails. Over the years we have given away $1000’s of dollars’ worth of prizes and food. From Kmart Vouchers to Easter Show Tickets, to free burgers to the Emergency Service. We always wanted to give back to our community that has always supported us! Without you Penrith, we would be nothing, and we thank you for your loyal support over the years. 2020 was probably, if not, the hardest year for not only us, but a lot of small businesses in the area. But we soldiered on day in day out, and made it through to the other side. Your support does not go unnoticed, and we thank each and every one of you for your continued support throughout the year that seen us make it to the other side. We still have a rocky road ahead of us, with Covid still out there, but to show our support and gratitude we are running a couple of specials throughout the week and will also have some giveaways for our fans! So unfortunately for us, we were banished from Socials for the month. He won the bet, but lucky for us we still get to keep on making stupid posts whilst adding in a couple of the bosses "oldies marketing".
