24.01.2022 Truer words hath not been spoken.

23.01.2022 Teaching is like a two way street, the student cannot listen if the student is talking, but if the student is talking they are not interested in what you are teaching. Most teachers will not stop to think why. How can we make our lessons more interesting and stimulating? Why is the student talking in the first place? Sure sometimes it can be that they are being disruptive, but other times, it can just as easily be that they have been left behind during your lesson and do not understand. Work with the student, not against them! Patience, support, success!

22.01.2022 During high school, I I got the idea that the majority of teachers I studied under, were more preoccupied with making a living than they were to see me succeed. I wanted to understand the world and why things were. I had questions, the answers of which were left ignored or unanswered simply because the teacher didn't want to be left looking ignorant. I eventually found my own answers, but still hear of former students complaining about how incapable the education system was for them. Knowing what I know now, I feel like I can use what I know to educate students in a way that they can individually relate to. The end goal meaning that the majority pass with an 'A' standard instead of just a minority. Message me if you're a parent or student if you'd like to talk about ways you can get more out of education.

20.01.2022 The most frequent response is that a great teacher develops relationships with students. Teachers need to be able to build trusting relationships with students in order to create a safe, positive, and productive learning environment. Great teachers are willing to listen to students when there is a problem.

07.01.2022 I've heard some of the funniest things from students. It's hard not to laugh sometimes.

05.01.2022 Parents: Do Not Make Excuses for Your Child Help teachers hold your child accountable. If your child makes a mistake, don’t bail them out by constantly making excuses for them. From time to time, there are legitimate excuses, but if you are constantly making excuses for your child, then you are not doing them a favour. You won’t be able to make excuses for them their whole life, so don’t let them get into that habit. If they didn’t do their homework, don’t call the teacher an...d say it was your fault because you had to visit relatives. If they get in trouble for hitting another student, don’t make the excuse that they learned that behaviour from an older sibling. Stand firm with the school and teach them a life lesson that could prevent them from making bigger mistakes later on.
