15.01.2022 As with many best laid plans, our reopening has hit a couple of minor stumbling points. We had hoped to be in a position to announce our new plans last Friday, ...but the champagne has been put on ice for another two weeks. Next Friday 21st August we hope to be able announce our new clinic location, new branding for our business and a few other little surprises. Well also start making contact with all those clients whose appointments were canceled pre-closure and work through our waiting list. So watch this space as well be starting to get active here again as we prepare to relaunch! Cant wait to hear the pop of that champagne cork next Friday! Please keep your fingers crossed for us

14.01.2022 Since she was 19 years old, Vicky from Ulverstone Tasmania, has endured years of being supported with multiple heart valve replacements, a defibrillator and a p...acemaker, until end stage heart failure meant she needed a transplant. Since late 2018, her heart transplant has enabled her to return to work as a nurse and continue to camp and travel across Tasmania and interstate with her husband Peter and friends. She loves being active again, running several times a week, and going to the gym, all to ensure she has many fit and healthy years ahead with her precious new heart. Thanks to all those Australians who say yes to organ and tissue donation and help make lives like Vickys a whole lot better. Register to be an organ and tissue donor now at donatelife.gov.au it only takes a minute. #DonateLife

05.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE - CRADLE COAST AUTHORITY WELCOMES EXPERIENCED AQUACULTURE LEADER Cradle Coast Authority (CCA) has appointed a new manager to oversee Natural Reso...urce Management in the region. Scottish born Mike Thomson, has more than 30 years of global experience in the aquaculture industry, spanning research and development, aquaculture tech and fish farm operations. He has worked in Scotland, Ireland, Norway, South Australia and New Zealand, and moved to Tasmania with his wife and family in 2012, taking on a role with Petuna. Mr Thomson holds a Master of Science and has represented the aquaculture industry in a number of international forums. CCA CEO, Daryl Connelly said Mr Thomsons extensive global private sector experience brought something new to the CCA team. Greater integration between our natural resource management and economic development work is a key feature of the strategic direction we set last year. Mikes skills and experience are perfectly aligned with that and stood him apart in a strong field of applicants from across the country. Mr Thomson and his family live at Port Sorell. We are lucky to live and work in such a bountiful place. I have been offered the most wonderful opportunity to learn more about the unique and beautiful land and seascapes of the Cradle Coast region, and I look forward to working with the CCA team, our partners and the wider community on how best to manage these precious resources said Mr Thomson. Mr Connelly acknowledged the contribution of Spencer Gibbs, who has done a great job in the role since 2017 and is taking on another important role within the team. Mr Thomson commences on the 25th of August and will play a key role in developing a regional NRM strategy. Pictured below Mr Thomson.

02.01.2022 I met with the Devonport Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. recently to talk about how we move forward through the pandemic, and what we can do to get Tasman...ia back in business. With the state borders closed for the foreseeable future, I encourage Tasmanians to continue their resounding support of local businesses by buying local.

02.01.2022 Don't leave it too late for this one!

01.01.2022 Tasmania is the first state in Australia to build a statewide planning scheme, and Burnie City is the first council in Tasmania to roll it out. As others follow... suit, Tasmanians across the State will benefit from fewer planning permits and more consistent planning decisions, because the rules will be the same in all council areas. http://www.premier.tas.gov.au//statewide_planning_scheme_n See more
