17.01.2022 With isolation now a normality, we've seen some amazing transformations from businesses across the globe - adapting their offerings to include an online presence. But it's important to understand that any changes in your offering should be a pivot - not a complete about face! Don't forget what makes your business/offering unique and valued in the eyes of your clients. We recently spoke to someone who wanted to convert their existing material into a book - a venture that coul...d take up to 3 months! While this is a great long term solution - it missed a crucial opportunity to work with clients who had been actively engaged only weeks ago. One of the key things we identified with this client was that although people came to the clinic for face-to-face advice; part of the benefit was the structure, advice and scheduled nature of the check-ins. These were all factors that could be continued in some form or another without the in person interaction. We just needed to work out how to get the message out more efficiently. Some key points to follow include: Know what the value is you provide your clients Look to continue this value offering without the face-to-face contact Work out how to communicate your new offerings quickly and efficiently to a wide customer base Look to keep in touch while being remote So don't "throw the baby out with the bath-water" and try to reinvent your business. Take a look at how you can continue to serve your clients - albeit through a different medium - while still providing a benefit. Then work out a clear and efficient way to inform them of this.

The NBN was envisioned to be the cornerstone of connectivity in our nation - allowing remote work/ remote medical reviews, etc - but with the original plan of fibre to the premises scaled back to fibre to the node, has it worked? With the need to work from home now a necessity; its been interesting to hear the feedback on how Internet connectivity is working. ...While most of us have been used to business/commercial grade Internet connections at the workplace, our home Internet connections are often not the same standard - a notable difference is the upload speeds (necessary for video calls) and often very limited in home Internet plans. 01.01.2022 Today we look back at a Wine Subscription solution we created for Magnum & Queens: Magnum & Queens came to us at the 11th hour after working with another agency to build their new website. They were advised that is was possible to create a subscription billing cycle on a Squarespace template. However, at the time, it wasn't. With the online launch date approaching they needed a quick solution that wouldnt require an extensive, costly and time consuming re-build. We were able... to build a separate platform that managed the entire billing process, including subscription orders and shipping, and have it integrated and implemented in time for the website launch. The subscription platform has grown into a large part of the businesses and we ourselves enjoy receiving their monthly wines! At Dcode we prioritise both trust and transparency with our clients.
