24.01.2022 Fear and adrenalin: Fear can be seen as a bad thing when it comes to self defence but we need fear to kick our adrenalin into action. Adrenalin and the 'Fight or flight' instinct is what allows you to beat your enemy. Even the most experienced martial arts person will still feel fear when confronted with danger. Fear, adrenalin plus knowledge of self defence is a better combination. Knowledge is the one thing you can control and build.

23.01.2022 Join the Thunderclap and say no to violence against women!

20.01.2022 Something fun to think about ladies... Whats in your handbag? Weapons galore Ill bet! Keys are a great place to start, even your phone can be a nice hard weapon if you know how to use it. Im thinking teeth, nose or throat. Creative thinking!

19.01.2022 I haven't heard a peep in the media about these poor women. This awful stuff happens a lot more than we are aware of. Let's raise awareness and support charities like White Ribbon.

18.01.2022 Todays Seminar went extremely well! Thanks to all who participated, we have raised $720 for White Ribbon!!!!!

18.01.2022 Stay safe wherever you are on this saturday night ladies. Safety in numbers but if you are alone hold your keys in one hand for slapping or stabbing (in self defence only) and your phone in the other hand. Be aware of your surroundings!

16.01.2022 Had minor theft run in recently at my house, it forced me to re-think/plan my home safety regime and awareness in my everyday life. Recognise when you're vulnerable and put into practice ways to prevent an incident from happening. Say to yourself "I'm vulnerable now" but don't confuse vulnerability with fear, use it to make yourself aware.

16.01.2022 I`m so excited about our session tonight for Flinders Uni Residents! Students who live on campus will be doing a one hour Roar! Crash course in self Defence. If you wanna organise a session with friends/workmates please contact me through this page. Photos still to come...

14.01.2022 The problem with most self defence classes is that they tell you what to do, not how to think. There are too many variables in every situation for you to stick to one particular combination. I will give you knowledge and then teach you how to how to use that knowledge in the most effective way so that you can walk away with confidence from the first session. Train your brain first!

14.01.2022 If you want to book an intro session please contact me through this page. Get a group of friends together and we will work out a time and a place that is convenient for you to do the one hour session! Simple as that!

14.01.2022 #1 tip for Self-Defence: Avoid physical confrontation because you will always be at a disadvantage. If you fight back you anger your attacker and they fight harder. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid dangerous situations.

13.01.2022 To all the girls going to schoolies this week... 1: Have fun but don't sacrifice your safety to have fun. 2: Stay together, try not to go anywhere alone especially down dark allys, bathrooms and Parks. 3: Be aware of your surroundings, don't get so drunk that you don't know where you are, what you're doing and who you're with. 4: Keep your drink in your hand, don't set it down somewhere and come back to it because you don't know if someone's put something in it. 5: If you mu...st defend yourself against an attack remember that every person has vulnerable points no matter their size, kneecaps, groin, throat and eyes (to start). DONT MAKE YOURSELF A TARGET! stay safe See more

11.01.2022 Im sick of seeing tragic stories on the news about women being attacked (the ones we hear about anyway) so I am doing something with my experience in Muay Thai and Steves experience in every type of Martial Arts and experience in 11 years of Security, to try and do something about it. We have come up with a program beginning with an intro session to teach self defence. I want to give every woman a chance because it may be that one thing you take away from the class that MIGHT save your life! Welcome to my page and thankyou for your support!

03.01.2022 So, I went for a run in the dark tonight. Not being paranoid but sufficiently aware I made sure I did a few things to reduce risks. Firstly, I took my faithful doggie, always a good start! 2nd: I told my partner where I was going. If you don't live with someone just send a quick text to a friend to let them know where etc. 3rd: I took my phone and my faithful Kubotan keyring. 4th: I had my headphones in but I was still alert. 5th: I took a route that is well populated and stayed in the lighted side of the road. This might sound like a lot but these are good habits to get into and once you do, its easy. One of these things may make a difference. And that is what this self-Defence page is all about. No Fear! Peace

03.01.2022 Last nights seminar with the flinders living peeps went extremely well! Congratulations to all who participated, you all picked up the basic principles, striking and grab defences very well. And it was nice to have a few laughs along the way! Photos are coming...

01.01.2022 Roar! The only time a womans touch is a bad thing!!

01.01.2022 Awareness is a huge part of staying safe in your everyday life. Lets have a Tup-Aware party! (Hows my pun talent today!)
