09.01.2022 Super for Jockeys Australian jockeys are now entitled to superannuation following an agreement with state and territory racing bodies, reports racingnetwork.com.au. Superannuation payments, which have been approved by the Australian Taxation Office, will be in addition to the jockeys riding fee. Payments will be backdated to1 July. "I think its a very satisfactory outcome for the riders and it gives them some security for the future," said Australian Jockeys Association ch...airman Ross Inglis (www.inglis.com.au). "And, its good for the industry because it encourages young people who are interested in taking up riding as a profession. They have the opportunity to be paid a reasonable remuneration and have superannuation paid, which is their entitlement."
