15.01.2022 ** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT** It is with a heavy heart we need to inform you that the Agoonoree 2020 has been cancelled. After careful review of government guid...elines and updated advice about the COVID-19 pandemic, The Agoonoree Executive have decided that it is in the best interest of our campers and the camps financial position not to go ahead with this year’s activity. While we make this decision with a heavy heart, we have had to consider multiple factors including the financial sustainability of the activity (considering we have so much reliability on sponsorship), campers welfare and the overall impact to our Scouting and Guiding communities. Our first priority is and always will be the health and wellbeing of our guests and campers. We greatly appreciate your understanding during this difficult period. Thank you for the support so many of you have already shown us. The Executive Committee will be planning an Agoonoree Activity Day at BP Park which all Scouting and Guiding members who were intending on attending the 2020 camp will be invited to join, when it is safe to do so. These are uncertain times. One thing we can be sure of, is that Scouting and Guiding are a necessary and vital organisations where communities are built, nurtured and maintained. Its importance will only continue to grow as we look to the future. Thank you for your understanding and see you in 2021! #Agoonoree #Scouts #GirlGuides

04.01.2022 Unfortunately we are not able to do any stargazing tonight (we'll try again next month) but we will still have two fantastic talks! -- 7:00pm Geoff Bonning: "As...teroids and Meteorites" (kid-friendly) Asteroids are the leftovers of planet formation. They have a lot to tell us about how the Earth formed, and maybe even how life got started. -- 7:20pm (approximately) Eloise Birchall: "Building Blocks for Baby Planets" Ever wondered how the Earth and other planets ended up around the Sun? In this talk Eloise will explain how planets grow and how they can get their moons. The stream can be watched at 7pm at https://www.facebook.com/MtStromlo/live/
