19.01.2022 Not just a pretty face...

19.01.2022 #TheAdventureTherapyProject for Women Hike + Camp Weekend was a blast! We filled our days with yoga in the outdoors, exploring the dry creek bed, swimmin...g in the waterholes, relaxing in the shade of the deck, chatting with each other, reading, poetry, stitching ..... and simply being. The Grain Shed Retreat at Darling Downs Wellness Therapies was the perfect place for us to hike into our remote campsite by the waterhole with our wonderful host shuttling our gear up the steep hill for us, so all we had to do was pitch our tents on arrival. This event was our final bushwalking and camping event for the year. Thanks to support from #ddwmphn under the #empoweringourcommunities fund, I've been thrilled to provide multiple free opportunities for women in the drought affected #southerndowns region to build inner strength and wellbeing over the last 2 years. Stay tuned for a few more mountain biking sessions over the coming weeks, then new projects being rolled out in the new year. Sigh..... 10.01.2022 Spontaneous acts of giving.... these two beautiful boys came across a pretty wildflower at the waterhole yesterday and decided it was just the thing to pop into... a pot and give to their mum ‘to keep her smiling ‘. This sparked a conversation about the the joys and values of giving. As Katherine Hepburn once said love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get - only with what you are expecting to give. See more
