We are now introducing weight training into her training routine to build her strength! It's important to first choose an appropriate weight that allows you to practice your form. You must be confident that your form is correct before increasing the weight used to prevent injury! ... 21.01.2022 How much do you focus on your total calories burnt at the gym Increasing how often you move over your entire day will burn a greater amount of calories than those burnt in your 30-45 minute workout. Having a fitness program to follow is great, as long as efforts are made to increase your overall daily activities too! ... 16.01.2022 Strength and Balance will be returning Monday 22nd of June! Currently to be held in Murray Bridge at the Nungas Gym every Monday at 10am. We will hopefully have it running in Victor Harbour once a new venue is secured.... This class is suitable for our community members who suffer with arthritis and osteoporosis. However if you're a beginner and want to be introduced to light exercise, then this is for you too!

Having the ability to move your body is a gift - improving your physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, skin health, mood, energy levels, and more. All of these benefits are beyond the goal of only changing physical appearance. Exercise and general movement is essential for our quality of life, and we can enjoy it so much more when viewing it as something we GET to do instead of something we HAVE to do.

What is also new is that Isla eats raw spinach while we are topping the pizzas, well when I take the cheese off of her Love when we all get to cook together and make simple, yet delicious food!

01.01.2022 All about showing her creative ways to make healthier foods! I've found that Isla is more interested in eating something if she has seen how it is made and most of all helped in making it. I hope that by feeding her with knowledge about different foods, the importance of food choices and how to make them from scratch, she will be able to make healthier choices when she is older! ... 01.01.2022 Prioritising your time for YOU At this time, we both worked 45 minutes away from home and had our 1 year old in family daycare. We would start work earlier in the morning, so we were able to leave work earlier than the regular 5pm finish, and visit the gym for 30-45 minutes before picking our girl up from daycare. We would be getting home at the same time each night as if we were working till 5pm, but we were managing to squeeze our session into the day, and the extra bon...us was that we gained more time together as a family each night! No person has the same circumstances as another, but there are often many ways you can fit your health&fitness goals into your day. It's a matter of scheduling it into your day and setting it as a priority for the given time! YOUR health is always a priority
