23.01.2022 Has been very quiet lately with not much dog activity in my area. Took a trapping job about 20km away a month ago and between cattle, rain and my kids I finally caught a male dog at the spring. Very healthy male. Possibly one I saw last week galloping away a few kms along the road.

21.01.2022 Mixing it up a bit and using a male dog. Usually use one of my females. Hopefully stir a few dogs up.

21.01.2022 Another young bitch today. The client was kind enough to send a picture through and mentioned there has been an increase of tracks on his property.

20.01.2022 Second dog caught for today was for a client on a cattle property, south of Charters Towers. A first for my trapping career - its not every day you trap a white dingo! This is also the second dog caught at this location within a fortnight. #deadsettrapping

20.01.2022 Ive been a little quiet on here as we recently welcomed our new little trapper (& my first little boy!!!) to the family. Meet Harry We are adjusting to life as a family of 6, and I am returning to trapping next week. So please dont hesitate to give me a call/message to discuss your wild dog management. Cheers, Sam.

20.01.2022 My good mate Steven is always bagging out sparkies for being over paid I honestly don’t know what he is talking about.

19.01.2022 Trapping isnt all about catching dogs. Its good to be able to show the kids the sights. However my little trapping buddy didnt make it past 9am this morning before she decided to camp up.

18.01.2022 Another female dog trapped at home this morning. Possibly a goat killer from a fortnight ago. Trap had had 63ml of rain on it a week ago and still did the job.

17.01.2022 Libby and the kids found a sow in a trap this morning on the way to school. 2 week old food based lure obviously still had enough scent to attract her.

17.01.2022 Another leggy male dog today about 150m from yesterdays bitch. About 200m from the goat paddock. He was definitely on his way to see the goats.

15.01.2022 Another dog yesterday. Photo supplied by the client. This trap was originally on the opposite side of the road ( eastern side) but the dogs kept walking the western side and not pulling up. Swapped it over to the western side on the 6/5/20 and it has done the job.

15.01.2022 Young bitch caught west of charters towers last night. This particular trap has been reset a few times now over the last few weeks. Always a challenge trapping where cattle are walking. Luckily it made it through the night long enough after the afternoon reset to catch her. Thanks to the clients for sending photos through.

11.01.2022 On the lookout for new trap sites.

10.01.2022 Afternoon trapping run at a new spot close to home.

08.01.2022 Young bitch trapped at home this morning Sam

06.01.2022 Putting the finishing touches on some trap sites.

06.01.2022 Great afternoon of trapping with two wild dogs caught. First one to show you all is a bitch caught not far from my place, just like Libby she couldnt resist my lure ....or maybe its my beard All jokes aside, thats two bitches less for our local area in a week. And coming into breeding season, thats good news. This particular trap has been in the ground for 12 days, just shows that persistence pays off.

05.01.2022 Early morning howling session. Turn your volume up and you will hear them respond to my howl faintly in the distance!! Might be lucky enough to get a dog to walk in a little closer

03.01.2022 Bitch shot for a local grazier on the 17/4/20. Had just finished setting traps and was heading out and we came across its tracks over our wheel tracks at the creek crossing. Was a simple plan of pulling into the next watering point to see if it was getting a drink and sure enough it was with the cows and calves, snooping about. The .223 was used to dispatch it.
