17.01.2022 Pssssstt! If you're currently 'social distancing', it doesn't mean being a hermit. So if you're in the safe age range, it's OK to play golf! It's outdoors and... in relative isolation Low number of people on-course Golfers are spread out Just remember: <1.5 metres Carts Handshakes (And... leave the flag in!) #PlayHereStayHere See more

17.01.2022 Hi everyone, here's the DGA Easter Message Video for 2020. On behalf of Deaf Golf Australia, We wish you all a very Happy Easter! Transcript: TRANSCRIPT DGA EASTER MESSAGE 2020 10th April 2020... Hi. My name is Therese Pierce, President of Deaf Golf Australia (DGA). We know we are experiencing difficult times now COVID-19 Virus spreading to many countries in the world, including Australia Businesses, shops, gyms, schools, beaches, and golf courses were closed. Australian Government has made an announcement STAY HOME! How long ? We do not know. We must respect the decision -- follow the rules to protect yourselves, stay safe and well (healthy). The World Deaf Golf Federation (WDGF) recently sent a video and email. We know the World Deaf Golf Championships (WDGC) 2020 in England was cancelled. We were disappointed but we do understand the reason for the cancellation. It was a difficult decision for England. Will WDGC 2022 in Australia still go ahead? We do not know. We have to wait and be patient. WDGF will discuss with the groups in England and will make a decision. They will make another announcement and we will let you know soon. If you have questions, or want to share information please contact us, email us and we will respond. Deaf Golf Australia want to wish you all, family and friends a very Happy Easter!

Born in England, Robert migrated to Australia as a teenager and settled in Perth WA in the 1960's. He has served WA, Vic, NSW and Deaf Golf Australia committees in many roles.
