07.01.2022 A refreshing Time With Children and Staffers at Harland Hostel today. (Fiji Islands) The genesis of the event could be traced back to few weeks ago, when childre...n and staff were asked to join a particular group to commence a preparation for the 2nd fundraising /market day ceremony of the Hostel.I was a participant and member of one of the groups of 3. One interesting feature of the day was the Fijian culture on display.Chidren dressed in their group's colour and parents were on ground to join in the fanfare. It's a refreshing moment for me as I was seeing the ceremony with my naked eyes since landing here. Back home I had always yearns to see the kids in action. Now,its possible. Another aspect of the glamorous event was the menu on display consisting of varieties of Fijian meals some of which I was seeing for the first time. Before the ceremony was brought to a close, parents sold food in the company of staffers and children joined to sell as well. What a splendid day with you all great children and staffers of Harland Hostel. May God sustain the event for a long time,Amen! Now, I have some items to add to my Fijian diary. Last month, it's a joyous Birthday celebration for children nd staffers. For the beautiful children and members of staff, higher you I pray. Greater heights and more grace to soar on. Many thanks to members of staff, the program crew and the 3 groups for excellent display. It's forward march..
