19.01.2022 The curtin has come down on the career of another one of our old warriors. Iamboogie. He has ran his last race. He has been a great horse to us and we have had a lot of fun with him. He’s been a great horse to be around and we are grateful that his owner Graham Henderson give him to us to train for the last half of his career. He will now see out his days at Graham’s place getting spoilt n looking after some of the younger ones. He did a super job finishing with 120starts for 18 wins and 33 placings with prize money of $157,102 and his best time of 1.52,6. Good job old boo

Iv recently been asked if we have any other syndicates going by some previous syndicate partners. So we have decided to form a new syndicate to buy and race going horses at a affordable price. The former jockey won the listed Eyeliner Stakes with Bandipur, a horse who won eight races in the Godolphin colours before being purchased at auction by Mike Crooks. Kelly got the shock of her life when asked to train the gelding by the man who races dozens of horses under the banner of Mishani Enterprises. She takes us back to her apprenticeship in country Victoria and the struggle she had to get started as a professional jockey. Her move to Queensland in the early 2000’s was life changing. On the podcast we introduce Adrian Layt, one of many Australian jockeys forced to travel long distances to make ends meet. Since returning from injury earlier this year, the popular jockey has never worked harder. He’s popular with owners and trainers wherever he goes. The former dux of the AJC Apprentice’s School, started his apprenticeship with his father Neville Layt and finished it with Les Bridge. He’s ridden all over Australia, in the UK and China. When this podcast was recorded, Adrian was sitting in his car in a Kentucky Fried car park in transit to the Scone races. Harness racing has had to survive many setbacks in recent years but survives because of young men like Dean Cernovskis. The 36 year old trainer has an unbridled passion for the sport and the trotting horse. Dean joins us on the podcast to reminisce about the days when he would watch horses training on a tiny Moss Vale council track. He was enticed into the gig by a local trainer, and his future was instantly sealed. The father of two can’t imagine doing anything else.

14.01.2022 Our Qld 2020 trip has come to an end. We had a great trip with our team of 4 horses. We are very proud of their efforts. We finished with 28 starts for 10 wins and 5 placings

13.01.2022 Sad day yesterday as we said good bye to a stable favourite Vettel he has been sold to America. It’s just to tough for him now with the handicapping n we thought it was best for him to go to America where he will do a great job. After a stressful time in the early days he sorted himself out and ended up doing a great job with 80 starts for 17 wins 17 placings and $104,299 in prize money and a best time of 1.51.5. Thanks to the owners for giving me the horse to train Andy Hewitt Grant Worner and Brendan Mand. Also Brad Hewitt and Trent Dawson that had him at various times and did a great job with him.
