21.01.2022 Build a better body to tolerate the load you want to put it under !

21.01.2022 Talk to your Physio about the best way to look after your arthritic joints .. There is ALWAYS something YOU can do to manage and keep moving D

21.01.2022 Agree 100% ... See the right person to get you moving better ... the discs will sort themselves out !! D

20.01.2022 Get moving Peeps !!! :) D

20.01.2022 Its just not good enough to be pain free before return to sport ... A battery of strength , balance , range of movement and functional tests @ > 90% of the uninjured limb will help to predict your ability to perform and reduce the possibility of subsequent injury :) D

19.01.2022 Ok ... So we know you work long hours and youre tired at the end of your day BUT .... this may not replace the need for a conditioning program to attend to your total health needs ... Talk to your Physio for YOUR solutions ... :) D

19.01.2022 Sounds like a great investment !

18.01.2022 Well isnt that interesting !!?? .. NO significant differences @ 5 year follow up between the placebo surgery and Arthroscopic partial meniscectomy groups EXCEPT a slightly higher risk of OsteoArthritis for the APM group ... :) D ... Make sure you do your exercises and leave surgery as absolute last resort !!!

18.01.2022 Well done @jen sephton ... Happy to help you on your journey !

18.01.2022 A very important muscle and a great pic showing the potential overload happening at lumbar , hip, knee , ankle ... with Glut Med dysfunction... D

17.01.2022 So your Xray or Scan shows that you have Osteo Arthritis ... Most of us have but a lot of us do not have pain . Talk too your Physio about how you can maximise function and minimise pain . It really is about what YOU CAN DO :) D

17.01.2022 Support ... positive reinforcement ...guidance ... load progression :) D

16.01.2022 England ... Iceland ... nup ... The Parks ..Adelaide !!!... Great to be back and practicing our social distancing !!! Just a bit of hail to liven the boys up D

16.01.2022 Never just rely on imaging results . Get a thorough objective examination from your trusted Physio first and foremost ... :) D

14.01.2022 Talk to your Physio about the right progression for you : ) D

13.01.2022 Lots to consider for every injury ... :) D

12.01.2022 As always ...check with your trusted Physio to see if this is a good exercise for you ... And please progress your time and intensity gradually :) D

11.01.2022 Rest is rarely the complete answer ... Talk to your Physio about the right way to load your body .. :) D

11.01.2022 Clock steps ...hops ...jumps ... What do you want to work on ? Hip ? Knee ? Ankle ... Range ?..Balance.. Strength ? ... Make it specific :) D

11.01.2022 Push ups ... such a great bodyweight exercise with so many variations and adaptations to fit both personal need and capacity ... with of course the ability to progress :) D

11.01.2022 But make sure you do the RIGHT sort of rehab under the guidance of your trusted Physio .... Even if you end up going down the surgical path you are likely to have a better outcome having put the early work in ... :) D

11.01.2022 Agility ... Balance ...Skill ... Keep the mind and body interacting .. Work on that neuro-muscular control and the non contact injuries will fall .. D

10.01.2022 What did you say you couldnt do? WHY ?

10.01.2022 Some great insights here for a return to ALL SPORTS . An informed , progressive return to activity to build a chronic load tolerance is imperative for both our elite and recreational athletic communities if you want to maximise performance and minimise injury risk ........ :) D

10.01.2022 Sucks to be stuck at home ! If you've got an exercise bike or treadmill then keep your body moving ... If you haven't , there are many great body weight exercises to keep your body prepared for action when the restrictions are relaxed :) D

09.01.2022 Quite a nice exercise to maintain / restore upper back mobility .. Often this part of the spine is subject to postural loading from activities involving computer / mobile use ... Can also be done in sitting or in side lying :) D

09.01.2022 Focus on the full journey ... not the quick release !! :)D

09.01.2022 Can't ignore those stats if you're keen to keep active !! :) D

08.01.2022 A very interesting discussion here .. What we do know however is the need to gradually build your load and avoid training load spikes ... Always good to challenge and pick the brains of your trusted Physio :)D

07.01.2022 There are literally hundreds of exercises you can do in the SAFETY of your own home .... Let us know if we can help ... Please stay SAFE ... :) D

07.01.2022 Very common !! Often the false belief is to stretch and release tension in the involved muscles rather than to strengthen and improve tissue capacity ... Talk to your trusted Physio for the right program for YOU D

07.01.2022 Best not to get injured in the first place ... Get some sleep ! :) D

06.01.2022 Optimise strength ...mobility ... function ... before you start resorting to Orthotics ... :) D

04.01.2022 Can you do >22 Single Leg Squats ?? on either leg ? ... Hmm

03.01.2022 But with the right advice and rehab program these stats can be significantly reduced ... Stay strong ... Be smart .. :) D

03.01.2022 There are many fantastic exercises you can perform in the comfort of your own home ... from basic right through to advanced ... just ask your Physio about the right level for your needs ... :) D

02.01.2022 Calf raise exercises and its many variables are are a great means for strength acquisition and circulatory /inflammatory control .... Talk to your Physio about a safe and progressive program to attend to your specific needs :) D

02.01.2022 Can you afford NOT to do these exercises if you engage in high speed explosive leg work ..? :) D

02.01.2022 Know your body ...know your needs ...know the loading of your exercises ... Be specific ... be prepared to drop exercises that do NOT improve your capacity .... :) D

02.01.2022 Pain is always personal and should be dealt with as such .... Everyone is different and so management changes accordingly :)

02.01.2022 What are you waiting for ... Get the right advice and guidance :) D

01.01.2022 But how you subject your bone to load is So important !! A gradual progression respecting current load doctrines ie 10 % increase pw ... is important if you want to control the exposure of not only bone but also tendon loading ... And particularly important in todays lockdown / home based isolation is the issue of lack of sunlight / Vit D exposure which then negatively impacts on Calcium absorption .... So make sure your diet includes Calcium intake up ( Leafy greens/ Cheese /Milk ) as well as safe periods of 30+ mins of sunlight .... When we get back to NORMAL ....it will be very interesting from a sports science perspective what actually happens to our bodies .. Be smart ... Give us a call if you need some direction :)D

01.01.2022 Ladybirds Netball Club ... Great useful info ... !

01.01.2022 Total load progression and timing is important ... Get the guidance of your trusted Physiotherapist .. :) D
