22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, It's been a while since we posted and hope everyone is staying safe. Lenders are constantly making changes to policy due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We are finding this changes are being made on a daily basis. Interest rates and offers are also changing frequently, basic variable rates are well below 3%.... 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Today the RBA has slashed the Cash Rate to an historic low of 0.50%.... this means that the banks (or some of them at least) will be passing on rate cuts for new and existing clients! This is a great time to take a look to see whether your bank is passing this on or if its time to make a move and score yourself a more competitive rate.... Some of the competitive offers I am seeing.. and some lenders are offering REFINANCE REBATES to new customers of up to $4,000... 16.01.2022 First Home Buyers - Are you aware that you may be eligible for Stamp Duty Concessions and the First Home Owner Grant? Let us tell you more... If you are in the market to purchase your First Home and you are looking at established dwellings under $600,000 you WILL receive a stamp duty exemption. For dwellings between $601,000 and $700,000 you WILL receive a stamp duty concession. ... For those looking to build, you WILL receive a stamp duty exemption on the land plus a First Home Owner Grant of $20,000 to go towards the construction of your home. The Office of State Revenue have recently changed their policy so that First Home Buyers who are purchasing a new home which is less then 5 Years Old where this is the first sale of the property - can also receive the $20,000 Grant. 07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, It has been a while since we posted.. as we have been adjusting to the new COVID restrictions. We wanted to touch base to provide some information about the governments HOME BUILDER GRANT... This is what we know so far....... 1. It is going to be paid directly by the State Revenue Office 2. You must meet eligibility criteria - $125k taxable income for 2019/2020 financial year for singles and $200k combined taxable income for couples 3. Must be building an Owner Occupy Property or renovating an existing Owner Occupy Property where renovations begin at an minimum of $150,000 4. Build Contract must be signed from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020 where the build needs to commence within 3 months of the signing date 5. Applications to be registered directly through the State Revenue Office We can confirm that there is NO LENDER on our panel that will consider this grant as part of your deposit. This is because the SRO will be processing applications as they see fit and haven't provided sufficient information to lenders that its possible for the funds to be available for the deposit. If you are thinking of building and want to take advantage of this Grant, please speak to us first.
