23.01.2022 Voting closes in 2 weeks - head to Dear Dysleixc don't wait till its too late vote now https://www.deardyslexic.com//facesofdyslexia2021-self-por Like many COVID has hit us hard and thanks to your support so far we have managed to keep our podcasts, 1800 helpline, website and peer support programs running. In lieu of our annual gala this year we had to pivot quickly to help raise vital funds for the work that we do at the Foundation while continuing to raise awareness of d...yslexia. That's why this year we have been running as a national art competition and we need you and your vote! Without your support, we can not help the 2.5million Australians who live with this hidden disability and who often have to struggle alone and in silence, as I did for many years. We don't want anyone feeling alone, isolated and unheard. I am in such ore of the amazing art that has been submitted from paintings to selfies the array of self-portraits has been inspiring to say the least. So please vote for your favourite self-portrait and help us raise funds to keep the work of the Foundation going and the much-needed awareness raising so those with dyslexia can live healthier, happier more connected lives. Competition entries closed at 11:30 pm Monday the 21st of September. Voting closes Friday the 25th at 11:30 pm Winners announced on the 1st of October

22.01.2022 Mental health and wellbeing is such an important topic for everyone but especially during these challenging times and for our dyslexic community. We know that those with dyslexia can face higher rates of anxiety, depression and attempted suicide. This is not ok, so take a minute to check in with your friends, family, work colleges and ask are you ok? It only take s a minute and that minute could change someone's life. I know it did for me.
