25.01.2022 Deb and Helen have been busy for the last few months working on a community arts project involving 7 schools on the Eastern Shore and over 400 kids. This has been the most amazing experience, working with children ranging from prep to grade 6 to help bring their sculpture ideas to life. The grand opening is Saturday 2nd November at 2pm, come along and check it out. https://www.easternshoresun.com.au/sculpture-trail-engages/

20.01.2022 Our 3-week Make Your Own Jewellery and Accessories course at Kickstart Arts was off to a flying start last Sunday with some fun exploring a range of materials and techniques for creating beads, bangles and baubles! We’re looking forward to introducing cord making, wrapping, weaving and crochet techniques this weekend!
19.01.2022 Helen has got her machine out and sure needed some tips on some of the basics. Great simple ideas here to help in your sewing projects.

11.01.2022 A busy and fun morning with the Jewellery & Accessories group at Kickstart Arts today! We covered several cord making techniques - kumihimo from Japan, an ancient Viking method using a lucet, traditional twining with fabrics & flax and French knitting. There were some gorgeous combinations of textures and colours. Next Sunday will see the group using their newly developed skills to create a unique piece of statement jewellery. We can’t wait to see the results!
11.01.2022 Finished off all the little bits and pieces today. The trail looks amazing. Hope you can all take a moment in the next month to have a wander.
09.01.2022 What an amazing experience we’ve had with loads of great kids and some amazingly dedicated teachers! Please try to get along to the riverside trail during November to enjoy the creative sculptures built by eastern shore primary school students from Prep through to Year 6. There’s something for everyone to enjoy....
09.01.2022 Inspired by the weekend workshop Helen has made a crocheted necklace.
08.01.2022 Its nice to make gifts from repurposed materials. Deb made this handy sewing needle holder as a birthday gift for a friend. Reclaimed woollen blanket pieces, hand dyed with plant material and hand stitched. #recreate #repurposed #ecodyed

04.01.2022 Doesn’t this make you want to pull out your crochet hooks!!
03.01.2022 So we hear that "teacher aprons" are now becoming the latest thing.... Teachers are ditching their large messy desks in favour of donning a funky & practical apron with loads of pockets so they can have everything they need at hand! Particularly useful for primary school teachers I imagine... Coincidentally Deb has just made a recycled "ecologist/dog carer" apron for her sister to wear out in the field (with style!) or when training doggies. Handy for all sorts of bits and pi...eces. These would also make fabulous market-trader aprons when selling wares at the local car-boot sale! #gottalovedenim
02.01.2022 What a brilliant concept.
