07.01.2022 We couldn’t decide who would get student of the week last weekend in our Kids BJJ program, so we just have in and have to Eli and Cleaver. They are both working very hard, in particular really lay a solid foundation for a really solid guard. They sharing of the belt may be an issue, but I think they have worked out a roster. 07.01.2022 I have rolled with a tonne of people over the last 18 odd years of doing Jiu Jitsu, and this guy is hard work. By that I mean EVERY round is hard. Hard but fair, respectful, and after every round, he shakes my hand and he thanks me. But a lot of the time, I’m the one that should be thanking him. He gets me more and more these days. Still not a lot, but I don’t have an issue with it at all. In fact, I love it, because very time he gets me, it reminds me that I have to keep w...orking hard to get better too. We have had a heap of evolution at our club over the last 18 months, and I have very different views now on the gap between students and friends, but this guy, he is a friend, and I would like to think we will be friends for a very long time to come.
